    impartial in the gay rights discussion. He actively participated in denying
    decent human beings rights, gay or not the man is a slug.

    they want a small government. Just like they strut about saying how
    fiscally responsible they are, but run up huge deficits.

  27. Actually, I would say it’s much more important for heterosexuals in loving
    committed, HETEROSEXUAL marriages to come out in SUPPORT of same-sex
    marriage than it is for people like Miller because in the case of Miller
    they may shrug it off as “she only supports same-sex marriage because she
    is a lesbian.”

  37. I’ve always lived in liberal parts of the country where being gay is not
    really much of an issue. Hell, I grew up in VERMONT, first state to have
    civil unions, and now one of the few states with gay marriage. Now I live
    in Seattle, where being homosexual is just plain No Big Deal™. And being a
    lesbian has never been anything but a non-issue for me, sometimes even a
    benefit! I can’t imagine what it’s like for other people not so lucky, but
    I feel for them anyway. Power, folks; fight on. 🙂

    from people that hate lesbians. Just because they aren’t sexually attracted
    to males or are much more attracted to females doean’t make them that. And
    by the way her remarks were right gay conservatives have caused a lot of
    pain for other gays. Mehlman spearheaded a campaign against gay marriage
    that saw the rise of anti gay sentiment and attacks on gays. Some gays even
    committed suicide during that period.

  40. Miller really is a lesbian isn’t she? It almost sounds like Miller is
    saying she is only a lesbian because they are being persecuted. She’s not
    saying if stamp collectors were being persecuted she would take up stamp
    collecting would she?

  47. @NCAJAX Yes you will probably say whatever occurs to you, but you will one
    day begin to care about the impact of your words and actions on the world,
    and that day will be one in which you grow into being a contribution to
    others rather than a cause of suffering. You can, are free to, will, do
    whatever you choose, but everything that you choose to do, whether it be
    attacking someone physically, expressing hatred, helping a child,
    expressing love, taking care of your parents, all have an impact!!
