It’s not US extremists who were responsible. It’s the mere intervention and
attempted control of uganda by a colonially minded country, that is enough
to trigger political and cultural resentment in Uganda. Once the US became
involved in a way that both condescended and undermined Uganda’s culture,
it was never a winnable position.
The West has to understand that colonial days are over and resented by
African countries. Dialogue has to be respectful, diplomatic at the least
or its pointless.
Good thing there’s not a law against aggravated stupidity, which in the
case of radical evangelicals is a “learned behaviour”…
