Most people don't support gay marriage because it is either against the social "norm" or because it violates there religion. But here, this quote said by arguably one of the most religious people on the planet is stating that a gay person that has good intentions is completely acceptable. Therefore, gays should not be singled out based upon religious beliefs but rather moral beliefs.
