Anti-LGBT Televangelist Kenneth Copeland used the power of his lungs to “blow the wind of God” and destroy the COVID-19 virus that has killed more than 74,000 people worldwide and infected more than 1.3 million, reports Deadstate.
In a service delivered to an empty church but streamed online Thursday, Copeland, founder of the Texas-based Kenneth Copeland Ministries, led a prayer with his fellow evangelists to vanquish the virus in the name of God.
“Today, we speak to this atmosphere from the state of Washington to the state of Maine,” Copeland declared, “From Southern California to Brownsville, Texas. And the tip of Florida. And wherever else in the world it’s needed.”
“Wind! Almighty! Strong! South wind! Heat! Burn this thing! In the name of Jesus! Satan, you bow your knees! You fall on your face,” he said.
He then called the virus by name, saying, “COVID-19 … pfttttttt!”
“I blow — the wind of God … on you,” he continued. “You are destroyed forever, and you’ll never be back.”
More than 25,000 people have died since Copeland declared COVID-19 “destroyed forever,” according to global death totals maintained by Worldometers.
Copeland, a staunch supporter of President Trump whose website condemns the “sinful desires” and “unnatural affection” of homosexuality, previously suggested in mid-March that hatred directed at Trump had opened the door to the pandemic.
“This disease called COVID-19 will be over much sooner than you think,” he claimed. “Christian people all over this country praying have overwhelmed it.
“There’s been some really nasty things that have happened this year—last year and this year—that I’m quite certain—well, I know—opened the door to a lot of this,” Copeland said. “Displays of hate and hatred by politicians toward the president. And hate on both sides. The Democrats hate him, and we have some people that hate them because they hate him.”
