Reality TV star and Republican gubernatorial candidate Caitlyn Jenner was followed and harassed as she attended the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Texas on Friday.
The former Olympic gold decathlete, 71, was repeatedly called “Bruce” by the tormentor, who appeared to be filming himself as he followed Jenner around.
The man, who hasn’t been named, is heard shouting at Jenner as she greeted fans after speaking at the conservative conference: “Hey Bruce, Bruce. What do you think of the stuff they’re teaching in schools regarding the LGBTQ? About Jesus Christ, Bruce, don’t forget about Jesus.”
He then said: “Look at that sick freak.”
Jenner ignored the man as she walked through the hotel to a waiting SUV.

The harasser was attacking Jenner with a practice known as deadnaming, which is when a transgender person is deliberately called by the name they used before they transitioned.
Another person reportedly called Jenner by her deadname as she was taking a selfie with her. The report indicates Jenner “didn’t appear” to react to either incident.
During CPAC, numerous jokes were made at the expense of transgender athletes and celebrities, including by right-wing podcaster Jesse Keller, who did a mocking “news” skit on the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team.
