For the Cuban regime, anyone who reports the truth [read this as anyone who doesn't honey-coat the reality] is considered critical and therefore persona non-grata. This is a way that Cuba makes sure that reports out of that island nation are favorable. Cuba keeps lists of journalists and even newspapers that are not allowed to enter. It allows CNN to have a news bureau because CNN is considered a left-leaning, Cuba friendly news agency.
