Final Season of “Will & Grace” Premiering Way Earlier Than Expected

If you were saving your “Just Jack” jazz hands for 2020 then you might want to brush up on your moves a little early. NBC has made the surprise announcement that the final season of Will & Grace will debut on Thursday, Oct. 24.

Yeah, that’s next week. The new batch episodes wasn’t originally scheduled to premiere until next year.

That’s not the only Will & Grace news to drop. In the new preview for the farewell season it is revealed that Grace is pregnant. Cue the old mommy jokes from Karen. The identity of Grace’s baby daddy isn’t divulged—nor is any reference made to Grace already having a baby in the original series, a girl named Laila, who she raises with Leo (Harry Connick Jr.).
 

Back in July, NBC announced that the upcoming third season of the Will & Grace revival will be its last. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it was the cast and creators’ decision to end the sitcom’s current run.

When NBC had the opportunity to reconnect this amazing cast and creative team, we jumped at the chance. The impact and legacy of Will & Grace simply can’t be overstated, both as a true game-changer in the portrayal of the LGBTQ community and as one of the finest comedies in television history,” said NBC Entertainment co-chairmen George Cheeks and Paul Telegdy. “A huge thank you to [creators] Max [Mutchnick], David [Kohan], [director] Jimmy [Burrows] and a cast that is second to none for their brilliance over an incredible run.”

When we last left the fab foursome, Jack married Estefan at the airport, Will and McCoy got engaged, and Grace left for an impromptu trip with a new love interest. We can only imagine what else the new season has in store.
