Fans of gay male porn are the most likely to vote of any porn lovers in today’s US elections.
Meanwhile those who enjoy cuckold porn – men watching their female partners having sex with another guy – and bi porn are second and third most likely to vote.
That’s according to porn site xHamster, which over 120million Americans use each month.
It surveyed over 6,500 US visitors to the site, asking them about their porn habits and politics.
And while more traditional research has already indicated LGBT+ voters have particular power in the 2020 election, xHamster’s research endorses this view.
Interestingly, it also says that all porn users are particularly likely to vote.
The research says 88% of all xHamster visitors eligible to vote say either have voted or they plan to vote today. That outpaces the general population by nearly 33%.
Alex Hawkins, vice president at xHamster says:
‘We have over 120 million US visitors a month, 95% of whom are citizens and eligible to vote. They’re incredibly politically engaged, but no one is paying attention to them.
‘In a close election, a smart candidate should be looking for any method they can to get out the vote – and we have them.’
Gay porn lovers most likely to vote
The research found porn users are as likely to be conservative as they are liberal or progressive. And most users fall between those two camps.
But there are some big differences.
MILF porn – ‘mother I’d like to fuck’ – is far more popular among the political right. Whereas those who enjoy gay and bi porn are more likely to favor the left.
Meanwhile, fans of gay male porn are the most likely to vote. A massive 92.2% say they will use their vote.
They are closely followed by cuckold porn lovers, of whom 91.9% will vote and bi porn fans, at 90.6%.
By contrast, just 60% of Americans usually use their vote. Although record levels of early voting indicates this election could see higher turnout than normal.
Because gay, cuckold and bi porn lovers are more likely to skew to the left, their willingness to vote could be good news for Joe Biden and the Democrats.
However MILF fans – of whom 90.1% say they will vote – may balance this slightly, as they are far more likely to back the Republicans.
Again, xHamster’s research – unconventional though it is – reflects patterns seen in other polling.
Traditional polling indicates that 76% of LGBT+ people will back Joe Biden with only 17% casting their ballot for Donald Trump.
With the election too close to call, campaigners are now focused on rallying their supporters to vote before it’s too late.
But perhaps the candidates can rest easy that one-handed voters are very likely to take a break from screen time and cast their ballot today.
