  1. Here you go…..here's the Truth:
“Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”–Jude 1:7

Romans 1:26-27 "Because of this [practice of idolatry], God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

And please, don't get back to me with:

    (1) ignore all Old Testament condemnations of homosexuality, by declaring that the Old Testament law is obsolete. That goes against The Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion, which is an impeccably orthodox statement of Christian faith. It says of the Old Testament, “No Christian man whatsoever is free from the obedience of the Commandments which are called Moral.” And when this is pressed on a “gay Christian”, he replies, then “The commandments against homosexuality are not moral commandments, but ceremonial ones.”

    That is totally absurd!

Romans 1 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, clearly condemn homosexuality as well, and are therefore evidence that the Apostle Paul and the early church leaders saw this as a moral law that continued to bind New Testament Christians. No early church leader was more emphatic than Paul about keeping Christians away from the Jewish ceremonial law, as is evident in the circumcision controversy, mentioned in Galatians and Acts 15.

Yet Paul urges the moral law on all Christians who claim to be “justified by faith” (Rom. 5:1; 6:1-2); he says this is so that “the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the FLESH but according to the SPIRIT” (Rom. 8:4). To walk after the same sex, after a homosexual, is strange flesh; it is to walk after the flesh, and not after the Spirit of God.

    (2) you will dismiss any New Testament translations of “homosexual” or “homosexuality” as a translation error; and try to maintain that Romans 1 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 are not condemning homosexuality, but something else; and that it is the bias of the Bible translators, not the original Biblical Greek. That might be easier to argue for 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, because some say a “catamite” was a male prostitute, not a homosexual.

“strange flesh” reference to Sodom and Gomorrah in Jude 1:7 is obviously a hint at the homosexuals in Genesis 19.

    (3) you will claim that God’s judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah, was not on their homosexuality, but instead because they were a rough, uncivilized, and inhospitable people.

They quote Ezekiel 16:49: “Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.” True, the homosexual abusers of the two angels added insult to injury, but before they ever showed inhospitality to them, they were considered “sinners before the Lord exceedingly” (Gen. 13:13).

This was because of their homosexuality, as Jude 1:7 testifies in my opening text: THEIR “GOING AFTER STRANGE FLESH” was the reason why God’s judgment of “FIRE AND BRIMSTONE FROM HEAVEN” came upon them so severely (Luke 17:29). Jude, in fact, makes no reference to the inhospitality of the Sodomites, though that was another sin they were certainly guilty of…and to the very angels that God sent to destroy the two cities…angels of great power. When Abraham and his people rescued Lot and the Sodomites during battle, and the king of Sodom wanted to give a token of money to him, God told him to say, “I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, ‘I made Abram rich’” (Gen. 14:23). No strings attached to the homosexual king of that homosexual city. No strings attached to a people who so resist the power of the Holy Spirit, the moral law, and the angels of God.

    (4) “God made me gay” is a common objection of so-called “gay Christians.”

They listen to the voice of secular, agnostic psychologists, who do not view Scripture as their authority; and then, through the un-Biblical lens of liberal Christian theology, try to reinterpret the faith in terms of sentimental “love”. But the Biblical love of God is holy, righteous, keeps the commandments, and “does not rejoice in evil, but rejoices in good” (1 Cor. 13:6). The Bible declares, God declares, that HOMOSEXUALITY IS EVIL; therefore, it is not the love of God to embrace it. God’s love is pure and holy; homosexuality is impure, unclean, and a perverted form of fornication. Romans 1 declares the divine revelation on thecause of homosexual lust. It is NOT caused by God’s creation. It is caused by man’s choice. Especially, by man’s choice to embrace atheism, worship of creation, plants, animals, created things, and the human body especially. This obsession with the material world, and with the human body, leads to inordinate sexual passions, even of the same sex. Homosexuality is a man-made sin caused by IGNORING GOD and FOCUSING ON THE HUMAN BODY, particularly other person’s bodies of the SAME SEX. Anyone, therefore, has the potential to make themselves feel “gay” lusts, if they dwell upon the nakedness of another person of the same sex. It is an inordinate sexual lust created by lusting on purpose, a person of the wrong gender. God does not “make” people gay. People make themselves gay—it says so in Romans 1. Gay pornography is probably largely to blame for this. When men begin to contemplate naked male bodies, they will begin to feel homosexual lust; the same with lesbians. It is the fall and perversion of human nature.

But the choice to sinis what God finds inexcusable and worthy of judgment. This is why God is so angry at homosexuality, because He sees gays as fully responsible for their denial of His existence (the real Biblical God), His authority, and the gender He created them to be.Homosexuality is spiritual and sexual rebellion against God the Creator. Homosexuals or “gays” are NOT a special breed or race of people, determined by their genes to commit these acts. God does NOT create gay people. Straight people create gay people when they start contemplating the nakedness of people of the same sex. That’s what Scripture says; believe it!

  2. Why bring children? I'm not a parent, just an animuu dwelling teen here, but I think its personally important to expose your kids to all sorts of things. Coming from a very over-protective, tentative mother (as in, I had a lot of medical problems when I was young and still do) regardless, my mom still didnt hestiate to teach me about the world culturally and have an openmind. I couldnt ask for better.

I'm bi, I'm atheist despite my mom says I'm 'too young' (I'm turning 18 on the 23rd, what the freaking heck?) to make decisions on my own. She mainly blaims my poor decisions on my special needs, but enough of that. I'm not caring if I date a man or a woman or if I get married or not. This a huge leap, to even have Ireland or any religious-heavy country consider a vote from the general public that would dramatically change their views on sexual orentation, marriage, etc.

Why bring your kids to a church? Like I said, I'm atheist, but when I was little i didnt really go around telling people to pray or to become Christan. I was a kid, my mom didnt want that. She wanted me to be a kid. I also told my grandma, who was sort of prejudce towards her black neighbors (we're white, yes) "You can't be Christan and racist" WHOA. A ten year old preeching (haha, preech, get it?) That sort of stuff.

I've several times over the years thought of going to my mom's local church, now that i'm older, to ask what he thinks about gay marriage or just my ideals, just to talk to him, so I have no strife literally over anyone. Not even Hitler. Why should I? I'm not Jewish, he didnt effect my ancestors or family in any way shape or physical form – I dont have any reason to be. I know thats an extremely iffy topic, but still I hope you all see where I'm coming from.

I actually dont plan on getting married but due to my medical problems hope to adopt a kid from the states. (Live there now) I always plan on having a roomate as I dont think I can support myself, I really do hope I'm a good parent, and I want to have an older kid (I hate 'young' kids, and adopting babies is kinda overrated xD! Why can't someone adopt a 10 or 12 year old child?). I've not of interests in sex as is, so I dont think I'll do much of that even when aging.

And I'm quite fine without sex. All these people care about nowadays, and not just in the states, is whose fucking with whose neighbor. And – pardon my coarse language – but – really, that's all it is. Sex, sex, sex money celeberties and sex. You know I perdicted in maybe even less than ten years time physical handwriting is going to be outdated? You walk up to a machine and you dont have to write anything down. My physical writing is so bad, it's readable, but I want to live in Japan, so I wont be able to learn how to write. (These devices will have real-time built-in translators.)

Also, about Asia and Africa. Give them 10 years or 15 years tops, they'll change.

  3. I have to vomit now!!!! yakkkkk…….men are kissing mens, women are kissing womens! how gross it is……and the girl is pretending and dressed up like men! How ugly she looks, feminity of an women is a beautiful thing, and masculinity of a men is beautiful thing! But they have made it so ugly, yikes!!!!

  4. I think it's great that the small, insignificant butt-hurt minority who oppose gay marriage can express their hurt little feeling here……cuz nobody else cares.

  5. This is totally disgusting and depraved. It is clear in Bible homosexuality is an abomination. God will judge this wicked country for this. I am sorry to be part Irish in these dark and evil times.

  6. I envy Ireland so so much. Many in my home country, also a predominantly catholic country, the Philippines is still closed minded when it comes to marriage equality. I am gay and luckily, I have a very accepting and supportive family – I'm one of those lucky few, I guess. I'm not getting any younger and all I wish is to see people like me to not be afraid being who they are – being gay doesn't make anyone less of a human, anyway. I know how much it hurts to hide coz' I've been there and I've done that but now, I need to man up and be who I really am. Time to fight for things I know people like me deserve – that equality we want to have for all these years. This is never about religion or politics, this is about EQUALITY, a very BASIC HUMAN RIGHT.

  7. The shameful injustice against gay people was defeated in Ireland. The Irish people have so much to be proud of. They have made history. They have shown a level of maturity and kindness towards their fellow human beings that is unseen in many countries. The scare campaigns failed and love and acceptance triumphed. Spain was the first Catholic country to legalize same-sex marriage, back in 2005. Most traditional Catholic countries in Europe and South America have since approved of same-sex marriages and the sky did not fall down and the world did not implode. God is in control and allowed this to happen. Deal with it. In years to come we will look back and wonder what all the fuss was about.

  8. Not wanting to be a record stuck in a large groove! Pearl before swine, comes to mind. But just for the record, those that don't condone this abomination will be equally judged. Secularism, will soon be over. The only Truth is The Lord Jesus Christ.
    You still gave time…..Just!

  9. good job OR NOT this country is one of the biggest catholic country in the bible it says man and woman not man and man and woman and woman

  10. Glad for the outcome, however the rights of minorities should never be determined or voted on by majorities. That's how discrimination of minorities is legalised and enforced.

  11. You rock Ireland! I've never been prouder of my Irish heritage. Ireland stands for equality. Love from San Francisco and son of an Irishman from Limerick.

  12. To quote my devout Catholic Aunt
"The day that the Catholic Church becomes my moral compass will be the same day that pigs fly, they have more blood on their hands than the devil himself".

Which is exactly why she voted YES ?

  13. Ireland finally fighting back for your rightful pagan beliefs now fight for your pagan rights tell the Catholic church you are no longer welcome and tell them deny pagan holidays

  14. I'm gay…my neighbor a straight man from Ireland respects me…he's the most non judgemental man I have met…I want to move to Ireland..I dislike gay new Yorkers .racist which surpriseses me…we've had to deal with discrimination and you're discriminating against me because I'm Latino. .they would love to have sex with me but won't date me..
