Gay Olympic freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy will appear on the final season of NBC’s “Will & Grace” revival, according to Out.

In an Instagram post (below), Kenworthy shared an image himself standing next to “Will & Grace” actor Sean Hayes with Hayes’ arm around him. The caption read, “I had a blast yesterday getting to film a little guest spot on the last season of this iconic gay show! Thank you to all who made it happen!”

Here is the Instagram post:

“Will & Grace” originally ran from 1998 to 2006 but was revived for three additional seasons in 2017. In the show, Hayes plays the comedic role of Will’s superficial and flamboyant pal, Jack.

It’s unclear whether Kenworthy will play himself or a fictional character in the final episode. Kenworthy is currently playing Chet Clancy, a heterosexual “jazzercising heartthrob,” in the latest installment of Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology series “American Horror Story: 1984.”

Kenworthy’s previous on-camera experience before now included a cameo on the Dan Savage-inspired TV series “The Real O’Neals” and a few scenes in the 2019 sports romance “Olympic Dreams.” In both, he played himself.

He has since said that he’d like to play a gay superhero or serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
