In an Independence Day tweet, Kanye West announced he is running for president and used the hashtag “2020 vision,” appearing to indicate he plans to toss his hat in the ring for this fall’s election.
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States!” West wrote.

West, who has frequently supported President Trump, suggested in April that he was going to vote for him this fall.
The internet responded to the 43-year-old musician and fashion designer’s announcement with mockery, with some theorizing the move was intended to take votes away from Joe Biden and help Trump win in November.
“Kanye West is obviously Trump’s desperation plan to take votes from Biden.
This is like Biden convincing David Duke to run for President.
Hopefully Americans don’t fall for this disgusting trick.”

If Kanye is running under a third party or as a democrat, he is obviously doing this to help Trump win.
