A white woman has sparked outrage after she was confronted by her neighbors for calling the police on an 8-year-old Black boy for riding a toy dirt bike in front of his home, something his mother said he has been doing for three years with the blessing of the HOA president.
The boy’s mother demanded to know why the woman, identified as Diana, didn’t call the police on the white children in the neighborhood when they play in the street with their toy dirt bikes.
“Why didn’t you call the police on the white kids across the way?!” said the boy’s mother, pointing out her hypocrisy.
“Let me tell you why,” Diana replies, seeming to confirm the accusation. “Because down in our cul-de-sac we have a bunch of small children who play.”
At one point in the video, the neighbor reveals that the 8-year-old’s father is a police officer. The boy’s mother confronted Diana about her call to the police, claiming that she said a “Black person” was breaking the law, making no mention that the “person” was an 8-year-old boy.
Other neighbors soon came out to confront the woman but she struggled to provide a good explanation.
