This Christmas, we’ll give it our heart.

Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, has announced that its soundtrack for Last Christmas, an upcoming rom-com inspired by the music of George Michael and Wham!, will feature a previously unreleased Michael track, “This Is How (We Want You to Get High).” The song reportedly plays during the movie’s conclusion.

Directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids), Last Christmas stars Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Henry Golding (A Simple Favor), Michelle Yeoh (Crazy Rich Asians), and Oscar winner Emma Thompson.

Kate (Clarke) harumphs around London, a bundle of bad decisions accompanied by the jangle of bells on her shoes, another irritating consequence from her job as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop,” according to an official synopsis. “Tom (Golding) seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate’s barriers. As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two. But sometimes, you gotta let the snow fall where it may, you gotta listen to your heart… and you gotta have faith.”

The Last Christmas screenplay was co-written by Thompson, who is also a producer on the film. She visited Michael at his London home in 2013 and received his blessing for the project.

“The wisdom and emotional scope of George’s lyrics have always amazed me. So many feel like they were written for the movie,”
Thompson says in a statement. “After I met George and experienced his compassion and understanding up close, I realized that in fact the movie was written for those lyrics.”

In addition to “This Is How (We Want You to Get High),” and the title track, the Last Christmas soundtrack includes “Faith,” “Fastlove,” “Freedom ’90,” “Too Funky,” “Heal the Pain,” “Move On,” “Waiting for That Day,” “Fantasy,” “Everything She Wants
,” “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go
,” “One More Try,” and the MTV Unplugged version of “Praying for Time.”

All songs on the Last Christmas soundtrack were written, arranged, and produced by Michael, except “This Is How (We Want You to Get High),” which Michael co-wrote and co-produced with James Jackman.

Born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou in London, Michael had his first success as half of the pop duo Wham! in the early ’80s. He then became one of the most successful solo artists of all time, selling more than 100 million records.

The Grammy-winning gay pop icon died Christmas Day 2016 at 53 from dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, according to the coroner’s report.

“The great sadness is that he’s not here to be a part of this,” Feig told EW. “But he knew it was going to happen, and that gives me such joy. We feel like he’s here with us.”

Last Christmas is in theaters November 8. The soundtrack, out the same day, is available for pre-order.
