CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta on Tuesday slammed White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany for spreading dangerous “disinformation” to the American public day after day from the White House podium.
His response came after McEnany railed against the press for refusing to spread conservative narratives about a Chinese spy that allegedly “infiltrated” the office of Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and other unproven claims about Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.
“And good for those who covered what was a story all along and not Russia disinformation,” McEnany said.
“The New York Times website, as of this morning, had not one result for Eric Swalwell’s ties to Chinese spies, not one,” she complained.
After concluding her rant, Acosta attempted to ask McEnany why she spreads disinformation on a daily basis as she turned to walk away.
“Is it hypocritical to accuse others of spreading disinformation when you spread it every day?” the CNN reporter shouted.
McEnany ignored the question as she made her exit.
