Out Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy has swapped the slopes for the Upper West Side in the upcoming final season of NBC’s Will & Grace.

On Instagram, Kenworthy shared a slideshow of him and other actors—including OG Will & Grace star Sean Hayes and actor-drag queen Coco Peru, who’s also slated to return in the show’s next season—on set.

“I had a blast yesterday getting to film a little guest spot on the last season of this iconic gay show,” Kenworthy wrote, tagging Hayes and the show’s creator, Max Mutchnick. “Thank you to all who made it happen!

He’ll be joined by other out stars like actor Matt Bomer in the 18-episode series finale, which is scheduled to premiere in 2020 on NBC.

Kenworthy’s guest spot on Will & Grace isn’t his first television appearance. After competing in the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and formally coming out as gay to the world, the athlete-turned-actor made small cameos on the likes of the Dan Savage-inspired series The Real O’Neals and the sports-themed romance Olympic Dreams.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race superfan even made an appearance as a guest judge on All Stars Season 4.

Most recently, Kenworthy made his American Horror Story debut as Chet, a beefy wannabe Olympian, in AHS: 1984.

He’s used those washboard abs for good, too, posting shirtless thirst traps on his Twitter earlier this year to draw attention to his AIDS/LifeCycle fundraising campaign.

Brooklyn-based writer and editor. Probably drinking iced coffee or getting tattooed.
