A New Hampshire pro-Trump radio host has been fired after she filmed herself repeatedly harassing and berating a work crew for speaking Spanish to one another.
According to the Daily Mail, Dianna Ploss was headed to work on July 10 when she passed by the construction crew and overheard a white worker speaking in Spanish to his co-workers.
“Are you speaking English? It’s America. English. English. English,” the woman yells at the workers.
She then tells the workers they “work for the state,” and that they “should be speaking English,” even though the worker explains that they work for a private company.
“Is anyone here illegal?’ Ploss demands.
“It is America. Speak English,” she repeats.
Her rant is suddenly interrupted when a Black man approaches Ploss and confronts her.
“Why are you harassing these people?” the man asks.
“Are they in America?’ … Then they should be speaking English,” she tells the man who explains he heard her ranting from across the street while trying to enjoy his lunch.
She then launches into an anti-mask rant, asking him why he’s wearing a face mask.
“He’s a Black man, and he’s gonna protect the brown man from this white woman who’s practicing white privilege because she happened to walk by and heard this guy talking to all these guys doing this work in Spanish,” she rants after the man walks away.
A petition calling for her show to be removed from the airwaves quickly garnered over 6,000 signatures.
On Sunday, radio station WSMN announced that Ploss was “no longer associated or affiliated in any way with WSMN.”
