  1. Your comments are jaw-droppingly stupid & easily refuted. Claiming gay people already have "equal rights" because they can marry someone of the opposite gender (whom they don't love) is akin to announcing that interracial marriage should be banned, because blacks already have the right to marry other blacks so they don't need "special rights" to marry whites. Or that synagogues should be abolished because "Jews have the right to be Christian like everybody else" and should stop behaving Jewish.

  2. Of course, bigotry or opinions are not inborn, so they cannot be classified similarly to skin color, height, sexual orientation, etc. People can be born black, but having "an aversion" to seeing black people is a learned response and behavior. Seriously, you are in dire need of an education. Less time trolling youtube and more time taking courses on human sexuality would be of benefit to you.

  3. Telling me I need an education does not validate your argument, an ad hominem fallacy is proof of a weak argument.

If being born gay means that homosexuality is morally acceptable because it is natural to them, then it must also be morally acceptable for those who are born with a tendency to oppose homosexuality. It would mean that "heteros" should not be urged to change their "orientation," nor should they be ridiculed for opposing homosexuality.

  4. Of course my acknowledging your need for education does not validate the facts; my diagnosis was simply an added bonus, designed to help you out. No need to thank me.

  5. Scot, the truth and reality do not need to be "defended" against those who cannot understand or cope with them. Truth and reality remain constant, regardless of your failure to grasp or accept them.

  6. I'll happily respond to your points, first off, no one is asking for "special" rights just the same rights afforded hetero couples. Second if you spent about less than 3 min googling "rights not afforded same-sex couples" you would have a good idea about the inequities in benefits, SS, taxes, immigration, and more NOT currently granted to same-sex couples. As for being free to marry, why are states having to vote on the legality of it?

  7. furthermore, what sort of slippery slope do want to be on regarding wither not anyone is "born" a certain way? If something can be scientifically proven, such has having a sexual orientation, great. To argue your stance, has it been scientifically proven that someone is a "homophobe"? Or is that view just a product of their upbringing/society/environment? Same with other "tendencies" is sexism, racism, et al something to be scientifically proven and classified or are we free to feel that way?

  8. The reason i ask is, we have to look at this from a different perspective. Historically and throughout history homosexual people have been (generally) reviled, ridiculed, ostracized, condemned, and killed because of their orientation. Then we need to step back and ask ourselves, why? What does it really matter, outside of some dogmatic mythical authority or how someone choose to "feel" do we really CARE wither someone is a homosexual or not? We have compartmentalized and stereotyped these ppl

  9. Special rights. Haha google all the benefits gay couples are denied. Then google benefits gay military families are denied. Then you will realize what a stupid statement you just made.

  10. What a brave man for his service and being a republican not supporting this. It truly came from his heart, which counts a lot. The GOP would be doing a lot better if they had more people like him.

  11. Absolutely sir, just like the African Americans had every right to walk onto a bus and ride it to their destination, just like anyother white citizen, so long as they sat at the back, just like they had every right to use a water fountain so long as they only used the one labled especially for them. Just like they had the right to walk into a public building, so long as they used the door marked just for them. We have a word for this kind of equality. Segrigation. Not then. Not now!

  12. "If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing." – I Corinthians 13:1-3 Love not Procreation is the reason for Marriage.

  13. I am a Christian, the knowledge that fear is driving people to persicute others is more than I can take. "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." – I John 4:18 Fear gay marriage for it will corrupt your children, fear it for it will ruin your marriage, fear it for it will be the distruction of humanity. This is not wise council, but the machinations of the enemy to divide the body.

  14. Gay people should NEVER be allowed to be legally married because as soon as Steps reform or a VILLAGE PEOPLE tribute band come rolling into town and they will remember all the Ex's and probably end up sending the adopted kids back,it wouldn't be fair.

  15. "then it must also be morally acceptable for those who are born with a tendency to oppose homosexuality" Sure, if you can prove such a tendency exists. And prove it is not healthy to change.

"It would mean that "heteros" should not be urged to change their "orientation," nor should they be ridiculed for opposing homosexuality."

Have a substantial number of homosexuals asked you to change your sexuality? That's never happened to me. You can oppose what you want, doesn't make it valid.

  16. (continued) sexual orientation is not a choice. Conduct is a choice, no rational person would ever argue with this. But preference is not. You would have a hard case proving preference is ever a choice.

  17. This man, Rep Kriesel, will be remembered a century from now. … due to this speech. He singlehandedly changed the tone of the argument, and put a ball in motion. Inspirational and true, based on accounts.

  18. You must be a very odd person to conflate pedophilia with jumping rope and scuba diving. For one thing, pedophilia is illegal and the other two are not.

  19. Much better than Mike Pence's speech on gay marriage, he gave a long speech on how it could lead to the collapse of society. His logic was that orthodox marriage is what holds society together. Ironically orthodox marriage in the Bible is polygamy. Exodus 21:10: "If he take another wife for himself; her food, her clothing, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish", God clearly allows it & dozens of respected figures in the Bible have multiple wives, like Moses.

  20. He's on the right side of history – America has been so retarded socially because of the religious right – fools nothing has changed since marriage equality other than you feeling angry that you have to share marriage share power .

  21. My brother did 4 tours, thankfully he came back physically whole. He says the same – thank you for your service representative, in the military and your service since. My brother was a part of my wedding
