Republicans Bringing Bazookas, Shotguns To Subway Get The Dildo Photoshop Treatment

Photos of a group of heavily-armed anti-lockdown protesters eating Subway sandwiches in Raleigh, North Carolina, have gone viral this weekend.

News & Observer photojournalist Travis Long shared photos of the small group making their way through downtown Raleigh Saturday afternoon before stopping to take a sub break.

The gathering was organized by a group called Blue Igloo as an “opportunity for First and Second Amendment supporters to get together, meet people with commonalities and get some exercise while we’re all wasting away at home,” according to its Facebook page.

In the now-viral photos, the protesters are seen ordering sandwiches from Subway on Fayetteville Street. One is carrying an AT4 rocket launcher slung over his back. The man also has two pistols in holsters on his waist.

Another protester, who is wearing a scarf face covering, carries a pump-action shotgun. A third man is photographed sitting with a shotgun propped on a Subway bench while he has a sandwich in his hand. He is wearing a face covering.

And a fourth photo shows a protester taking a selfie outside the shop while holding a .50-caliber wooden prop machine gun.

Images of the protesters carrying weapons into a local Subway shop provoked angry reactions online. Some turned their anger into works of art by cleverly photoshopping the anti-lockdown protester’s guns into giant dildos.

One Twitter user digitally replaced the weapons with huge sub sandwiches that measure several feet long.

Photoshop wizards also gave a group of armed Michigan protesters the dildo photoshop treatment earlier this month.
