“RuPaul’s Drag Race” Royalty Returns in New TLC Series, “Dragnificent!”

Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something Ru!

After the success of last year’s TLC special, Drag Me Down the Aisle, RuPaul’s Drag Race royalty, Bebe Zahara Benet, Thorgy Thor, Jujubee, and Alexis Michelle are back to transform lives—but this time in a new series, Dragnificent!.

“The response to our special with Alexis, BeBe, Jujubee and Thorgy last year was an enthusiastic ’heck yeah,’ and we are so proud to bring them all back for a full season run in Dragnificent!,” TLC president and GM Howard Lee said in a statement. “TLC viewers love our tears-of-joy stories of transformation, self-discovery and self-love. We can’t think of a better treat for viewers than following four of America’s favorite drag queens as they help someone feel as fabulous and confident as they deserve to be.”

Drag Me Down the Aisle focused on getting a bride ready for her big day, but the new regular series will expand that premise to include women preparing for other special events—not just weddings. Think of it as Drag Me Down the Aisle version 2.0.

“It’s a transformation extravaganza!” says Alexis Michelle in the new series preview. Dragnificent! premieres on TLC in April, until then check out the fabulous extended trailer below.
