It's incredibly simple. Businesses have the right to refuse service….period. A reason is not required. I found this out the hard way when I was banned from a store without explanation. I later found out the clerk thought I was coming by at night just to see her….when in truth I have chronic insomnia and that convenience store was the only thing open late. I am still banned to this day and the police support it.
Double standards are what gay people are all about.

Students did not seem aware that he was willing to sell any standard cake, or any other standard product, but was only unwilling to create a customized cake for the gay couple. I see a real distinction, and I think they would too if they knew.

The court ruling not only protect the christian baker but this also applies for example a muslim who owns a restaurant. You cannot force them to cook a pork for you or a vegetarian restaurant you cannot force them to put a steak on your menu.

Those men went into that bakery knowing their request would be turned down—that’s egg they chose it, to bring a lawsuit. There were dozens of other bakeries in the area that would have made a cake for them. They took a chance and lost.
