  1. Unfortunately when gay kids kill themselves the parents usually share most of the blame seeing the last straw is the parents who reject them.

  2. This guy is simply conforming to the approval of society. In this life you have to fight the beast system that dictates how things are ran. Plant your feet and have the word of God as your shield and armor. This man has good intentions but he is getting influenced. The likes of Ellen does not help this path he is on. Ellen is part of the beast system and has swayed many astray from truth. Throw in Obama and pretty much all mainstream media and there you have social engineering working on manipulating the mindset of the populace.

  3. It pisses me off how everyone thinks the south is nothing but homophobic racist trash. Yes, like any area of the world there are a few trashy places (mostly in the rural areas). But when you go anywhere in the suburbs or urban areas you'd get your ass kicked for saying anything racist or homophobic. Literally. Has anyone ever been to Atlanta or Birmingham or New Orleans or anywhere near the south? I've even had a handful of friends down here who have literally had coming out parties that their parents helped plan.

  4. Good Dad Standing by his daughter no matter what Too bad about her death Didn't have to happen there are place's where you can talk to someone about it There is hope Never ever give up

  5. Heartbreaking. This man is honoring his daughter. He is a true Christian, confessing his wrongs and making up for them. I hope he finds redemption.

  6. To be gay is to live a life of torment judgement and ridicule. Not everyone is strong enough to walk that path, especially young teens. Being rejected by society makes you feel worthless but when your own parents disown you. I can’t imagine the pain and isolation they must feel. I’m glad the father is speaking out about this. The suicide rates among gay teens and amount of homeless gay teens are really high.

  7. I just came upon this. Mr. Mathis, I am sure you are proud of your daughter for helping you be a better man! What a gal she must have been. She's still inspiring others as are you!
