Tina Fey, Rachel Dratch, and Tan France Recreate an “SNL” Classic

Everything comes back into style eventually, even mom jeans.

In the latest installment of Dressing Funny, Tan France’s new web series on the Netflix YouTube channel, the Queer Eye stylist makes over his latest client, SNL alum Rachel Dratch. But, he doesn’t do it alone. He gets some help from Dratch’s friend, and Wine Country co-star, Tina Fey.

The duo make Dratch try on a variety of looks, including a shirt that has a high neckline that gives off an Ellen DeGeneres vibe, “which is good for Ellen, but you’re not Ellen,” Fey tells Dratch. The Debbie Downer comedienne also rocks an outfit the kids call “the Ariana,” which is just a giant hoodie with some knee-high boots.

But the best is the final look when France has Dratch slip into some mom jeans, which Dratch and Fey sported in the classic SNL video. This leads to the two singing the iconic “Mom Jeans” song, before they both, including France, recreate the “Mom Jeans” fashion show.

This is what the internet was made for.

Check out the fun video below, and if you need more of a France fix, clear your schedule for next weekend when Queer Eye Season 4 drops on Netflix.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was “just the cutest thing ever.”
