Trump Calls Supreme Court A ‘Disgrace’, Says He Got ‘Screwed’ In Deranged Meltdown

President Donald Trump unleashed a midnight Twitter rant attacking the US Supreme Court hours after the nation’s highest court rejected his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

“The Supreme Court really let us down. No Wisdom, No Courage!” Trump tweeted shortly before midnight Friday after the court rejected a longshot bid by the state of Texas to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s election win in four battleground states. The Texas lawsuit had been backed by Trump, as well as 18 GOP state attorneys general and 126 House Republicans.

About 30 minutes later, Trump continued his off the rails rant, tweeting: “So, you’re the President of the United States, and you just went through an election where you got more votes than any sitting President in history, by far – and purportedly lost. You can’t get ‘standing’ before the Supreme Court, so you ‘intervene’ with wonderful states that, after careful study and consideration, think you got ‘screwed’, something which will hurt them also.”

“Many others likewise join the suit but, within a flash, it is thrown out and gone, without even looking at the many reasons it was brought. A Rigged Election, fight on!” Trump continued.

20 Minutes later, Trump once again lashed out at the Supreme Court, tweeting: “We’ve not gotten any court to judge this (the vote) on its merit.” @DanPatrick of Texas. It is a legal disgrace, an embarrassment to the USA!!!

Trump reportedly refused to make an appearance at a White House Christmas party on Friday just hours after the U.S. Supreme Court handed down their decision.

New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman reported Friday evening Trump was in no mood to celebrate with White House guests: “At the White House Christmas Party, guests were informed about 10 minutes ago that the president won’t be joining them to make remarks.”
