President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Saturday morning to randomly tweet the phrase “A Very Stable Genius.”

The boast, which is a phrase he’s previously used to praise himself with, left many Twitter users scratching their heads.

He followed it by thanking himself for the boast, writing: “Thank you.”

In July 2018, Trump described himself as a “very stable genius” to reporters during a press conference at a NATO summit.

Trump first used the phrase on Twitter on January 6, 2018, following the publication of “Fire and Fury” which portrayed him as a man of questionable intelligence who spends his evenings eating cheeseburgers in bed, watching TV and chatting to friends on the phone late at night.

“Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart,” Trump said at the time. After boasting about becoming President of the United States on his first try, he said: “I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius….and a very stable genius at that!”

Trump followed up his boastful tweet with an attack on MSNBC’s Joy Reid, saying that the TV host has “NO talent.”

Twitter users mocked Trump for thanking himself for something he previously said about himself:
