Trump Threatens To Veto Covid Relief Bill, Claims He Might Remain President For 4 More Years

President Donald Trump slammed the recently passed $900 billion COVID-19 relief package as a “disgrace” in a completely unhinged rant on Tuesday evening, urging Congress to amend the bill to increase the direct payments given to Americans.

“I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000, or $4,000 for a couple,” Trump said in a video posted to Twitter.

The demands came minutes after the White House released a list of Trump’s latest pardons, including former GOP lawmakers Duncan Hunter and Chris Collins.

And if Trump doesn’t get what he wishes, his actions could prompt a government shutdown days after Christmas.

Trump ended his video rant by suggesting that he may remain president for four more years.

“Maybe that administration will be me,” Trump added. “And we will get it done.”
