Courtney Cox and David Beckham’s working relationship certainly isn’t an uncomfortable one.
In fact, it seems like the two have gotten along so well while filming Modern Family that Cox even posted a selfie of her and the retired footballer in a hot tub on her Instagram.
The former Friends and Cougar Town actress joked they were “too hot in the hot tub” and it certainly shows.
Likewise, Becks posted his own snap of the two going through scripts on set, captioning it: “I met a new FRIEND at work today.”
Wife, Victoria, could barely contain her excitement, commenting: “I can’t wait!!!!!! Kisses x.”
David and Courtney are said to play themselves in the smash-hit comedy and, apparently, they’ll face off in a heated celebrity bowling tournament.
It’s safe to say that Modern Family is pulling out all the stops for their final season.
“Chris [Lloyd] and Steve [Levinson] have created one of the most seminal and iconic comedies in television history,” ABC Entertainment President, Karey Burke, said during the announcement in February. “In its final season, there will be more milestone events that anyone who has been a fan of the series won’t want to miss.”
Star Nolan Bould told PopCulture: “Kind of like the way Haley [Sarah Hyland] did. [I’d like] to see if he ever makes it out, gets a real job besides working at his grandpa’s country club. I guess as the actor and a fan of the show I would like to see kind of like, a glimpse into his future. Or is he always going to be a little bit of a burnout or if he’s gonna get his act together.”
The series, created by Steven Levitan and Chistopher Lloyd, first hit screens in 2009 and still ranks among the top 5 TV comedies, albeit also among the most expensive, with weekly shows costing ABC over $5 million.
Modern Family tells the story of retired closet-remodeler, Jay Pritchett, played by Ed O’Neill, his second wife Gloria (Sophia Vergara) and all of Jay’s children, including Claire (Julie Bowen) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), and their families. Depicting gay son, Mitchell, in a serious domestic relationship with Cam, the show broke ground for a network sitcom. The TV couple later married and are raising a daughter.
We can’t wait to see how David Beckham and Courtney Cox fit into all of this!
