The gay Democrat and presidential hopeful was spotted wolfing down some snacks at a recent state fair in Iowa, where he’d stopped by for a number of events on his campaign trail for the 2020 election. While we can’t confirm if the mayor of South Bend, Ind., was actually “hangry,” his facial expressions mid-bite in these captivating portraits from Eater are certainly something:

Two reporters at Eater also provided an exhaustive list of every treat Buttigieg sampled at the fair, including but not limited to: a pork chop on a stick, a fried bacon ball BLT, and fried Oreos, which he promptly washed down with chocolate milk.
