You Are Invited to Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris’ Swoon-Worthy Wedding

U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team players Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris tied the knot this past weekend at a fabulous ceremony held at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida, on Saturday, December 28.

“It was this kind of Mediterranean castle-like vibe right on the water, this European-type vibe that we were going for,” Krieger told People. “Right when we walked in we were like, ‘Oh my God. We love this and everyone else was going to love this and this is just… This is it.’”

Their teammates, Crystal Dunn, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Abby Wambach, Heather O’Reilly, Marta, Becky Sauerbrunn, Tobin Heath, and Christen Press attended the lavish wedding. But don’t worry if your invite got lost in the mail (ours did too) because there were plenty of social media posts from the wedding—including pics from Krieger’s brother, social media Insta-stud Kyle Krieger, who was there to support his sis:

Krieger and Harris’ ceremony comes nine months after the couple revealed they were engaged. The two first met in 2010 when they were playing for the U.S. National Team—they now play together for the Orlando Pride.

“We became really close friends, and we just hung out, we clicked, and we had so much in common,” Harris told People. “We always sat next to each other on the bus and on flights, and we kind of just talked about our dreams and our hopes and what we wanted to do one day when we grew up. Because at the time, we were kids.”

The soccer power couple had a glamorous wedding, but the honeymoon will sadly have to wait until after the 2020 Olympics:

“We’re going to plan to go on our dream honeymoon, which is hopefully going to be in the Maldives or Bora Bora on one of those little huts on the water. So that’s kind of what we envision,” said Ali.
