sharing my thoughts as a liberal/hicksite Quaker regarding the horrible human rights violations of Uganda’s Anti-Gay law and the silence of Evangelical African Quakers in the region.

Hello Friend,
I watched your entire video, partially because of my interest in what is
going on in Uganda, but mostly because it was one of the first things that
came up when I searched youtube for “Evangelical Quakers”. My name is A.J.,
like you I am a fairly recently convinced Friend, am a member of West Hills
Friends Church in Portland OR, and a part of Northwest Yearly Meeting.
I am an Evangelical Quaker, and I am also openly gay. Many of the concerns
that you raise in your video resonate with me deeply. I am thankful for
your honest sharing, that you have found a home in Quakerism, and that you
have been able to connect using psychedelics too ; )
I’d love to talk with you more about my end of the Q continuum sometime if
you’d like to talk with a real Evangelical Friend sometime, maybe over
google hangout even? If not, feel free to check out some of my writing on
my blog, http://queerquaker.blogspot.com
Take care Friend : )
