  1. John, they took both (YEAH BOTH) of her children away from her at
Polyclinic Hospital. Marilyn Monroe wasn’t the only one under mk ultra mind
control. There are still women and men out there under it. Dont give me the
cold shoulder on this, brotha. She went through hell and you can expose it
to a new generation. Without understanding the past, you cant plan for a
    future.

  2. I think a bigger factor concerning why we let ourselves get distracted so
easily is that we don’t give a crap about school or work anymore (for the
majority of us at least). There is just SO MUCH stuff everywhere, that
every single element loses value in our mind. Nothing is really an
*important* event anymore, barely anything triggers our attention, and the
fact that we now know how ineffective the education system is… I honestly
don’t see how I *could* pay attention in class.

  3. Just turn off your phone when you’re studying… and avoid using the
    computer unless you have to.

  4. *** YOU’RE RIGHT ABOUT TODAY BUT GOD MADE US TO TAKE IT ” & KEEP ROLLING
WITH THE TIMES ” UNDER ANY AND ALL LIFESTYLES IN ANY AND ALL WORLD’S MAN
CAN COME UP WITH JUST LOOK AT THE DIFFERENT IN LIFESTYLES IN THE WORLD
TODAY ” WE WILL BE OKAY IF ONLY “WE” LIKE ROME DON’T KILL OURSELVES ***

  5. I have a solution for you John. It’s called WILLPOWER. Cell phone
distracting you? It’s got this magical thing on it called an off button.
Can’t stop watching youtube videos or checking facebook? Turn off your
internet. If you can’t turn your internet off, develop a schedule where
you’re only allowed to dick around online AFTER your work is done.
Discipline and willpower are the key.

  6. I think within the next few decades (or maybe centuries), we’ll come out of
this more informed but our cognitive focus and ability to access situations
critically will likely show some hampering.

  7. Did the studies factor in the impact of mind-dumbing cubicle-work
environments on the appeal of digital distractions?

  8. Please reply, John. You can expose the dark side of Hollywood. Blow the
doors open on it. All it takes is research

  9. i cant do my work without youtube i just have to copy and paste things also
it is proven if listening to music then you get more work done i can only
study with noise if i dont have it then i dont learn stuff but its just
homework if its reading i need it to be 100% silent thx for the ha bisky vid

  10. I have a story about Cell phones. I went on a “first” date last year and
this person which I had only talked on the phone a few times was texting
about 25% of the night. I wanted to say something but what was the point?
She apparently didn’t find it rude. It was really awkward. I wrote her the
next day but had lost interest. She didn’t look very interested and I
didn’t really care either. Good riddance! I have another “first” date
tomorrow and my phone will stay in my pocket! 😉

  11. Smartphones are so useful. We work on the road and use our phones as maps.
We can also download manuals for equipment we install from practically
anywhere. But I am guilty of reading tweets when its a little slow at work
when I should be working. I don’t really want to make a habit of that and
have put more effort into keeping my cell in my pocket when I don’t really
need it. But I agree that being connected 24/7 can be distracting.

  12. I love you technologies. We should all stop being afraid of new
technologies. Humankind will always benefit from the new technologies.

  13. I think goal setting is the solution to getting swept away in distractions.
Spend a small fraction of your day focused entirely on your goal and tend
to your gadgets and whatnot afterwards.

  14. Dear John, you are a very intelligent guy. Please do a story about how
Marilyn Monroe was under mk ultra like mind control, her story is
relatively unknown but nonetheless important. Theres a dark side to
hollywood, its darker than dollars and fake boobs. Its anton szandor lavey
dark. Its dissosciative anesthetic drugs dark. Its dark. More than 2
million people have been subjected to trauma based, mk uktra type mind
control. Its a real thing, and John, i beg of you. Do a story on it.for her
    sake

  15. I don’t think there’s a one size fits all answer. A lot has been said of
work cycles, as in when you’re working, especially in a creative medium you
can’t just sit down and work straight for 8 hours. You have periods where
you are in the zone, and then rest periods where you check twitter and your
email. Those distractions you can control, I find meetings and chatty
coworkers far more destructive to my work because often they hit right when
    I’m “in the zone”

  16. how about the xbox video games because all people are playing the xbox,
wii. ps3 and psp all times too.
