  1. Is having no sense of irony or hypocrisy a requirement to be a Republican?
    I only ask because this is about the hundredth example I’ve seen in the
    last year of Republicans who unknowingly defeat or defy their own arguments
    and policies by their own words and actions. 

  2. I have to agree that the FEDERAL government needs to get out of education,
    because their only contribution has been to devise standardized tests that
    have been the ruin of education. Btw, why can’t creationist fucks learn
    anything?

    unprofessional as it would look, it would have been better if she looked at
    the notes the entire time.
    All that looking up for a millisecond just to look back down at the

  10. I wonder why the rest of the world thinks Americans are dumb… I think
    this video shows that there are enough people already causing havoc and it
    seems no one does something about it. Sorry to say, but idiots like this
    woman really causes problems for the US. I hope all Americans will rebel
    and demand idiots like this to step down and gain a good education system.

  14. There shouldn’t be such a thing as government involvement in education. Or
    health care. Or banking and finance. Or insurance of any kind. Or business.
    There shouldn’t be any income taxes or business regulations or money
    printing either.

  16. Texas actually has pretty good puibic schools. These people get caught up
    saying anything to get elected. They want that gubmint salary first and
    foremost. As for free markets, that is just coded language for corporate
    giveaways. Open up for profit schools like Everest and see what type of
    education your children get.

    This is one thing I actually do not support diversity in; education should
    all come from one source, one guideline or whatever. We don’t need people
    believing different/conflicting facts, we need a well educated and cohesive
    workforce.
    You know what one of government’s purposes should be? *Producing cops that
    aren’t fucking corrupt/violent.*

    with eachother about how the government will save them from all the scary
    things out there. Thank you government for educating our children.

    How about you refute the actual point that was being made that the
    government isn’t responsible for the education of children?

    The government has shown complete incompetence in funding and giving
    education to people of all ages. What have we seen with more government
    encroachment? We’ve seen a decline in the quality of our school systems,
    an increase in tuition costs, and a decline in post-secondary education
    quality.

    A third of all adults over 25 have a Bachelors’ or higher, yet very few
    people get jobs in a middle class that has all but vanished because people
    are struggling to acquire the necessary skills. Tech/trade schools that
    receive far less government funding tend to provide better career
    opportunities than state-funded universities.

    The government should not be responsible for funding education of any kind.
    This is something the free market is very capable of handling and we need
    to leave it up to them. The only job of the board of education, assuming
    it should exist at all, is to make sure that parents are sending their
    children to at least some kind of school.

    It is a proven fact that throwing money at education does not improve the
    results. Look at Detroit as a perfect example of education gone bad
    despite the truckloads of cash thrown at it.

    the whole religious freedom thing, at least according to the authority,
    bill o’reilly, only pertains to christians (they meant different
    denominations of the christian faith when they said freedom of religion)..
    o’reilly also stated in the same breath that Christianity is NOT a
    religion.
