  1. OMG that dumb cow in the audience. Gay people have heterosexuality stuffed
their throat continuously & she can’t cope because Ellen is on the cover of
    Time? Really, go fuck yourself.

  2. OMG, Ellen is such a ground breaker. I can’t thank you enough for your
courage. IT IS OK. We love you so much!!!!

  3. Gay isn’t a new thing. It’s not a fad. In the 70’s that’s when the famous
line came out “the good ones are all either married or gay”. Today there
are brilliant, well loved, well cared for children who are being raised by
gay couples. I’m happy for them. Better gay folks who love cherish them
than some insane heterosexual people who should never have kids in the
    first place.

  4. I can’t even tell everyone how much I love Ellen, she’s so interesting, and
    I don’t even know why….

  5. Don’t cry Ellen!!! Please!!! Don’t cry! It doesn’t matter if your gay!
    Everyone loves you anyway!

  6. You don’t have to say “yup, I’m straight” because everyone assumes you are.
From the moment your parents discover your gender they assume that one day
you’ll grow up and marry a woman if you’re a boy and visa versa if you’re a
girl. You don’t have to come out straight.

  7. I really don’t understand people who think being gay is wrong. I’m a guy,
straight 20 and i think if two people really do love each other than that
love is equal to anyone elses. What else do we really have that’s truely
equal in this world but love?

  8. look at the people in the audience not clapping with a straight face. it’s
hard to believe these ignorant fucks still exist in this country

  9. People act as though if someone were to be gay, they have an attraction to
every person of the same gender…

  10. I can imagine that when you are gay and experienced the whole coming out
process, you are used to comments from stupid and narrow minded people like
this (although it is always hurtful to hear that someone basically does not
accept you for who you are).I really did not understand why this woman
suddenly got the stage to give her opnion: was there a moment in the show
where the audience could ask questions?

  11. four words say it all. “Because it is ok.” Ellen is AMAZING. Honestly, I
love gay people, they are generally less judging.

  12. i’m actually kind of glad this prejudice isn’t around so much anymore and
most people can say “Hi. I’m straight” or “Hi. I’m gay” whether your
straight or gay, it really doesn’t matter.

  13. lol that woman has one big ass mouth. i understand that she’s got an
opinion and that she’s clearly not trying to fight with ellen, but i think
she should be ashamed of herself. gays, lesbians, transexuals, etc. people
are people. just because you connect better with other people doesn’t make
you “abnormal”. jesus christ, people need to realize the simplicity in love.

  14. Ellen is like the Rosa Parks of our generation. She knew it was wrong for
society to make her “sit in the back of the bus”. She was and is a trail
blazer for all homosexual people. I love her line in the show “I want a
house, with a picket fence, and a dog and cat, and someone to love and to
love me and to build a life together.” Isnt that we all want???

  15. What such a wonderful attitude when taking about her first female sexual
encounter..remaining discrete and not selling herself out just to fill a
    slot in a chat show.

  16. The woman arguing with Ellen is clearly ignorant, she is implying
homosexuals should stay closseted and they shouldn’t. They deserve the
freedom to express themselves just as everyone else. The reason you don’t
see heterosexuals on the cover of magazines is because that’s what’s
considered “normal” in society. And she’s right, no one would care if a
straight person were announced because it’s not perceived as different.
Homosexuals are beautiful people, intended to have purpose in the world jus

  17. ellen is so amazing. Her dreams came true, she’s not afraid to show who she
    really is. /i love it.

  18. You can clearly tell that the people not laughing and clapping in the
background don’t deserve to live -.-

  19. I’m 16 and my parents refuse to believe that I’m a lesbian, and refuse to
let me see or talk to my beautiful girlfriend. We get out of school on
friday, and I won’t see her for 3 months. It is so difficult. I’m proud of
who I am, why can’t other people be proud of me??

  20. I was one 🙂 But im sixteen now and came out at school about a year ago,
ive just watched this and realised im not the only one who gets the abuse
    🙂
