  1. I find it interesting that the only reason given to oppose gay marriage was
religion. Thank GOD that Canada and the US have concepts of separation of
church and state. I’d like to know the reason why those people feel it’s ok
to impose their religions on others. I disagree with your view on adoption
becuase first, you just say “it’s supposed to be this way.” Who said?
Tradition? Religion? Also, all children need love more than anything. Why
not give it to them when there are willing homes?

  2. In a way I agree with you about the loving homes…however what was meant
by the ” It’s suppose to be this way” was that it was refering to the norm.
A Standard household has a mother and a father. Not two fathers or two
mothers. If it’s a loving home why not? However I’m sure the child would
get made fun at school or bullied because he has 2 parents with the same
sex. “It’s suppose to be that way” is based on tradition, religion and
North America’s norm. Hope that answers your question.

  3. The “norm” also was that black people were inferior to whites. A standard
household consisted of a Slaveholder, his mistress and kids, and his
property, such as horses and slaves. Thankfully this isn’t the norm
anymore. In a society where same-sex marriage is recognized everywhere, and
accepted, why would kids get made fun of?? It will be common.
