  1. Mozilla CEO resigns, opposition to gay marriage drew fire….. I cant help
thinking that there are two sides to this… its very bad for Mozilla to
loose someone with so much skill, and domain knowledge… and we cant deny
that he has a right to his opinion.
I’ll let iO Tillett Wright say the rest tho…

  2. I don’t care who will hate me for this, even if you are “different” you are
equal. Labels don’t say anything except that you are different and that is
why I hate them so much!

  3. She stated things very clearly and intelligently. I can’t even imagine
forming three sentences in front of ALL those people. o.o

  4. This has inspired me so much as i am trying to find were I belong. Now see
that I don’t have to be just one thing. The world could be such a beautiful
place if we all just stop trying to fit into the boxes that have been
designed for us. We need to tear the boxes and just be.

  5. This is pretty much the whole point I’ve been trying to make to people:
we’re all human beings at the core, and we should be treating each other
    like it.

  6. This is one of the best videos I have seen on this subject. What an
    inspiring person she is.

  7. This was posted on my 12th birthday. I just came out as bisexual yesterday.
I realized my sexuality at 12. Coincidence? I think not!

  8. I LOVE this! What a novel idea, to take people out of artificially-labelled
    boxes!

  9. Indian politicians, the courts and all should watch this and catch up with
the rest of the world …..

India still puts LGBT as criminal !!!!!

  10. i got to meet her…. she took my picture .. she is the coolest person
    ever!!!!

  11. iO, come to Boise,Idaho! We need people to see the point you are making!
    (add the words, Idaho!)

  12. Photographer iO Tillett Wright grew up between genders and sexualities.
She’s shot 2,000 people who consider themselves somewhere on the LBGTQ
spectrum and asked many: can they assign a percentage to how gay or
straight they are? Most people consider themselves to exist in the grey
areas of sexuality, which presents a real problem when it comes to
discrimination. Because where do you draw the line? See more:

  14. Love what she says about labels and how quickly we apply them to all we
see. Really got me thinking about how true it is that once you get past
the identifiers, race, orientation, we’re all pretty much the same- humans
    searching for our best lives.

  15. Her point in *confrontating a problem makes you gain sympathy for it* is
    something to consider.
So take a moment when you can and listen to what she would like to share
with us all. I hope she will make your knowledge richer by any means.

  16. I just want to point out that my cousin Debbie in Canada thought I might
like this video so she pointed it out to me. She was right. A while ago, I
was going to do a similar photography project with +Joe Decker based around
the faces of the couples affected Prop 8 but we didn’t get it off the
ground. I’m glad that iO Tillett Wright is doing something even bigger.
She’s been around the country and has photographed 2,000 people so far.

If you look into the faces of people who you think you hate just because of
their gender and/or sexual orientation, can you actually hate them? Can you
actually believe that they deserve to be “less than” you? Will you instead
see them as your fellow human beings?
