  1. I think he said some key words here – “It never shows when they are out
    there competing”. No, that’s true. The heterosexual population never had to
    fear showing their sexuality. In our culture, HBTQ people do. Why not show
    you’re HBTQ when you are competing? Well, you want to focus on performing
    and you are already under pressure. Why risk the extra pressure of
    homophobia? What he claims to be the reason we don’t need to connect the
    two things, sports and politics, is the very reason we should.
