  1. Who cared if the hemophiliacs died too? Thank God for ACT UP, which many of
us joined. Truly amazing times. Great work by so many.

  2. THX larry! we will never forget! it simply isnt possible to forget if you
were gay at that desperate time, glad to see this posted here, for the
    younger generations to know.

  3. I STILL want to know if Larry Kramer or the Queer Justice League will be in
Brooklyn to protest the reggae Straight Pride march on August 31. The march
will feature some of reggae’s most homophobic singers. Or do they only
protest in safe Manhattan like a bunch of wusses?

  4. Kramer is stupid. He is oblivious to see that heterosexuals who suffer from
shyness, autisim, and asperger syndrome have a harder time gaining
relationships, especially for males, and that people like them are usually
bullied severely, not assisted by the government, or pegged as gay. I
happen to be one of those people. If Kramer thinks all straight people are
happy, he is living in a fantasy world.

  5. QUOTE: “Allow the appointment of leaders & a chain-of-command to stay on
top of things & keep some sort of order so we not only don’t self-destruct
as we seem to have more-or-less done, but also this time, as we didn’t do
before, institute ourselves for longevity.” As an early ACT UP-NYer, I
don’t think activists are inclined to give-up their authority. We want to
be our own leaders. Larry’s suggestion of a trusted elite seems
unrealistic. How could we get our gays of today to trust any leaders?

  6. Hehe, The funny thing is the more you type, the more you prove my point.
Which is ironic, since you’d be much better off promoting autism awareness
than using crass bigotry to fight (of all things…!) bigotry. That’s just
not very intelligent. I’m out of this dicussion. You see, I (whom by the
way, you still haven’t got a clue on) have a life and I don’t plan on
wasting it on dead end discussions. Good luck to you in the future. You’ll
    need it.

  7. What a powerful speech. My mind doesn’t know what to do with all this
information. It sounds reasonable and true to my ear for certain.

  8. How times have changed. Gays are completely apathetic today. In Los
Angeles, there is no gay community. We lost Silverlake entirely and Weho is
70% straight, drunk 20 year old Barbie girls with no panties on now. It’s
all over now. I will miss our brotherhood/sisterhood and all that we
accomplished for a PAINFULLY ungrateful and uneducated and apathetic newer
generation. I am 43. Between the elderly and the young and know both sides
well. Our predecessors have failed us.

  9. Aids can be helped with out drugs just like the other problems that have
been helped by upper cervical specific doctors that are found on upcspine .
what these people can proves that the medical profession is pulling the
wool over a lot of peoples eyes.prove it to me that this is not the
case.don’t let a full spine manipulator work on you that practices
cavitation. upper cervical specific only.I can tell you more.

  10. i/we love you larry for giving us act up, as part of A.U.-i still do what i
can. having aids for 22 yrs. now, homebound. where is the outrage? i’m sick
but, still a fighter. i did get to senior bush as we both left a b.hills
drs. office i shouted him down, he just looked shocked as his ss were upset
that i got to that fucker! youth- were the fuck are you? a pissed off queer
    w/aids.quanpete

  11. You can say that untill you’re blue in the face but luckilly, the world is
wising up. And I could go on and on, finding all the holes &
inconsistencies in your speech but right now… I’m just glad I wasn’t
    raised like you.

  12. You know what it is? The shy, the autistic and people with Asperger’s
syndrom are better percieved as “people with afflictions”. People. And for
that reason, they weren’t treated for most of their existence as: – Symbols
for evil; – Worthy of no respect, false accusations, persecution, verbal
abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse and also murder; – Unworthy of care; –
Having no validation whatsoever. And why? For being… “gay”. And Kramer is
    from that generation.
