  1. Raimon Gaita on Gay Rights “I think it’s not an exaggeration to say, it’s a
    denial of their full humanity.”

  2. People opposed to gay marriage often cite the importance of a male and
female role model within the family as a major reason for their stance.
“Finding homosexual sex distasteful” is an odd way to interpret an anti-gay
marriage stance. If many people felt this way gay people would be
completely shunned. Surely from a global perspective, Sydney has a very
open and accepting attitude toward gays, right?

  3. it has been shown in multiple studies that the gender of parents doesn’t
matter in the slightest. All they were able to show was that children with
2 parents were far better off than children with 1 parent, regardless of
gender. All of the arguments against gay marriage fit into 1 of 3
categories a) its icky b) it is going to destroy x/y/z (marriage, the
family etc) c) gay sex is unhealthy and all 3 of these categories have been
    thoroughly debunked

  4. @mahlstadt what importance do male and females have in raising a family?
growing up i can honestly tell you i didnt care whether my parents had a
vagina or a penis, i cared about how much they loved me and what they did
    for me.
