  1. If the argument is that less children would be born if homosexuals would be
allowed to marry, then it’s rubbish. People do not become gay the moment
    they’re married.

  2. look im Canadian here, I find it fascinating that Republicans say the
government doesn’t have the power to mandate healthcare and cant force “one
size fit all” solutions on states with different needs. but somehow
government does have the power to mandate traditional marriage and family
and does have a “one size fit all” family structure for everybody to
    follow. seriously?

  3. No sir you are wrong, the reason why marriage was changing even before the
gay marriage debate became prominent was not because women were gaining
more opportunities, it was because the sexual revolution was changing the
implications of relationships, and thus removing marital commitment and the
family from marriage. The fact that women have more opportunities now does
in no way undermine the type of marriage Santorum is advocating, and to
cynically assume that he believes that is does is quite unfair

  4. Number one, a marriage license is NOT a religious document therefore under
the 1st amendment no law can be made preventing gays from marrying. Two,
the tenth amendment gives the states the right to govern themselves so if
you live in a state where the people have voted to ban “gay marriage” it is
democracy. Three if you live in a state where “Gay marriage” is legal you
do not reserve the right to file discrimination against a religious
institution that refuses to marry you under the protection of the 1st
    amendment.

  5. You better believe gay marriage discourages straight marriage. I prefer
the former, it’s way easier on the head, HELL YEAH. But…my gay
brothers, you aren’t getting off that easy; you’re probably going to need a
woman–as disagreeable as that sounds. Like the straights, you gotta put
with it and put up with it and KEEP PUTTING UP WITH IT!! Marriage =love?
    Yeah, right.

  6. Santorum explained on Colbert 11-19-13 his opposition to letting gay
couples adopt by saying, “The point of the law is to encourage what is
best.” In other words, the role of government is social engineering. I
thought conservatives were opposed to that.

  7. When Rick Santorum is talking against gay or gay sex he is actually
thinking what good gay sex he is missing since he married his now boring
wife and that talking against gay sex may makes him feel better for not
    having it.

  8. Oh Rick just because you would have married a man if you could have does
    not mean str8 men would!

  9. WPAHS’ JOHN W PAUL SUCKS ORGANS FROM 47% CAUSING DEATH VIA AMA/AHN FRAUD,
    TORTURE, MORPHINE OVERDOSE

  10. nope, they changed sides. 60 years ago democrats switched to republicans
and republicans switched to democrats. No seriously, Democrats used to be
pretty damn conservative 6 decades ago.

  11. one thats not a bad thing that there are less people we have over 7 billion
right now were over population and marage is about loving someone and
wanting to spend the rest of ur life together

  12. No, sometimes Bill OReilly does make sense. He can say some stupid shit now
and then but I’d say he is the one on Fox who is actually fair and
balanced, or at least way more than Hannity is. Although I give credit to
Hannity because he puts it right out there that he is a conservative, he
    doesn’t deny it.

  13. Further proof that the GOP needs to get back on their meds. The fact that
mental midgets like this religious zealot currently represent the GOP only
shows how fucked up they r.

  14. Wow, this guy doesn’t seem to even care how stupid he looks on issues that
are current. The reason people are not having as many kids today is an
issue of economics, not because of homosexuality. The orphanages are filled
with the unwanted discards of straight unions – married and not married.
They are the equivalent of the humane society. Any cat can screw and have
    babies – that’s no trick.

  15. If marriage is about procreation then why are women over the age of 50
allowed to get married? And what about gay couples who want to adopt or use
a surrogate? More importantly, should we really be encouraging people to
have children when the planet is overpopulated? If gay marriage will lower
the birth rate then we should openly embrace it.

  16. Oh my god. It all makes sense. If marriage is about the children no wonder
some states want an abstinence only sex education curriculum because if
they pregnant they have to get married. Diabolical genius @_@

  17. Yeah, because we all know that when a heterosexual couple is going to get
married they always take into consideration how many gay couples are
married before they tie the knot. This guy is such a dumbass.

  18. Has anyone else hear libertarians calling this campaing for gay equality a
    conspiracy?

  19. I married my wife and had three kids and i was not discouraged because of
gay people. Let them be married if they want to get married.

  20. He’s the latest Sarah Palin wannabe. He’ll never go away, just like her.
Someone on Fox Noise will always call on him when they want someone from
    the lunatic fringe.

  21. How glad is everyone that this guy didn’t get to be president? Gay marriage
aside, can anyone guess his reaction to the Boston bombing? The nuclear
missiles would be on their way to Iran before the smoke had cleared!

  22. Of the many things that discourage me from having a straight marriage, gay
    marriage isnt one of them.

  23. If you truly love your spouse, you would get married to them whether gay
people marry or not. Show how strong your love is!

  24. The idea that it’s not a religious institution confined straight people
only makes marriage more appealing to me. It makes marriage about the two
people committing to each other and less about some imaginary demands from
    a god.

  25. This just proves Rick’s homosexuality. I’m a straight man, does it make me
want to have homosexual relationships because gays are allowed to marry?
Heck no, I’m not attracted to men at all. But since Rick’s saying it, he
believes that. Rick is admitting his fondness for men by saying that the
dissolution of “traditional” marriage is making him be gayer. He is outing
his homosexuality in small baby steps. Next thing you know, he’ll be saying
that the institution of gay marriage made him gay!
