  1. Homosexuals & lesbians have been riding the backs of black people for over
thirty years with this saying, “They believe in the civil rights of all
people, black people, gays & women.” They kept repeating it over and over
on TV, radio and other media outlets until people begin to accept that lie
and repeat it, mission accomplished. Sexual perversion & race is not the
    same thing.

  2. *The New Black*

http://www.democracynow.org continues their coverage of gay marriage and
equal rights with a new film that explores the divisions among
African-Americans on the issue of marriage equality. Despite longstanding
opposition from church leadership, the documentary looks at how the black
church played a critical role in the passage of the Maryland vote upholding
marriage equality in 2012. Set to air on PBS next year, “The New Black” has
just won the audience award at AFI Docs and this weekend plays at
Frameline, the nation’s largest LGBT film festival, in San Francisco. We’re
joined by the film’s director, Yoruba Richen. “The black church is a big
factor in Maryland,” Richen says. “[After] they really engaged, I think
that’s how come you saw the outcome in Maryland, which for the first time
the public voted to uphold marriage equality.”

  3. What role did the black church play in the statewide referendum to uphold
same-sex marriage in Maryland last year? While the religious community
maintained a major role in the civil rights movement, a new documentary
explores how the black church remains divided over marriage equality.

  7. I can see that point, though I have a disagreement on the issue. I really
don’t give a damn about marriage and it should have nothing to do with the
government. True though, political correctness and these neo-liberalism is
pretty groupthink-riddled or horrid on logic with tons of hypocrisy.
Liberals always shame black conservatives as if they are whipping boys to
whites when it isn’t the case and that is very disingenuous, something many
dem and repub supporters do these days.

  8. A bunch of White Academic Intellectuals shaming the Black Community for
falling out of line with PC Liberalism. That’s all I can see this is.

  10. @Kevin Wayne Maybe you see only what you want to see. It’s easy to judge,
much harder to love, but judging won’t get you through those pearly gates.
    😉

  11. I use to share this belief but about 6-7 years ago I grew mentally and
spiritually. And came to accept gay people as equals and support them
getting married and kids. But ya its a big problem in the black community
    largely because of The Bible

  12. Those who would use antiquated scripture to oppress and condemn our lbgt
brothers and sisters have no idea what the love of Jesus really is about.
How sad to see those who had been victimized by racism now play the part of
perpetrator and not even realize it. Homosexuality isn’t the sin, it’s
homophobia and hate. Maybe you’re the one who needs to repent. Take the
plank out of your own eye before you point out the splinter in mine!

  13. man, my African brothers and sisters need to let that white mans bible go.
and if you arent going to let that white mans bible go, pick up a copy of
the Egyptian book of the Dead(stolen to make bible), Massey’s book The
Natural Genesis, The African Origin of Christianity by John G Jackson, and
Christianity before Christ. the white man made God in his image instead of
vice versa, took your mind, and told you to read the bible literally while
he reads it symbolically. Peace to the Goddess, Isis.

  14. As for me — I dont care what anyone’s sexuality is…. I am just stating a
fact about black people in general. You may not like it and you may want to
change it …. but right now it is a fact. 90+ % of black people dont
    accept homosexuality.

  15. I guess I’m a minority within the minority. I’m a black atheist and I
    support gay rights.

  16. @YUNG SAVAGE Why? The same reason why we fought for interracial marriage
decades ago. Because it is the right thing to do. So that gay spouses,
parents, and their children can have recognized the same inalienable rights
you take for granted. So our society can heal from all the irrational hate!

  17. When all is said and done a faggot is just another pekkkerwood using
negroes & yelling nigger just like any other pekkkerwood, Mexican, Cuban,
Puerto Rican,Dominican, Arab, kkkavedweller-female or fake Jew!

  18. Will the American church ever fully accept change or equality? The bible
was written 1800 years ago & yet is quoted, mis-quoted, selectively quoted,
mis-translated, interpreted, misinterpreted & carries such weight when
grasped in a hand & held threateningly 2 the flock. U believe the book is
the word of god and accept EVERY SINGLE WORD or you shouldn’t judge gay
people. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCEPT THE BIBLE FOR EVERY WORD. It condones
slavery! If u know that is wrong reject the book entirely .
