issue with America. Congress is a big part of the problem, there’s no
cooperation, it’s just a big show of division. That being said, the
president is also a big part of the problem as well. Obama has a habit of
telling people what they want to hear and not what he plans to do. He’s a
great politician, not a great leader. A great leader steps up in times of
division and pulls everyone together, they don’t play the blame game and

The biggest part of the problem however is us, the citizens. We have all
the power, there’s over 300,000,000 American citizens. When’s the last time
any of you wrote your representatives in congress? When’s the last time you
wrote a letter to the president? Before you say “That doesn’t matter, they
don’t take the letters seriously anyways.”, when is the last time you
staged a peaceful protest? I have yet to see a single protest in America
with millions of people. Considering the number of citizens we have, it
shouldn’t be that hard. We are the people that make this country run, not

engaging in politics since I was 15, during the height of the Occupy
movement in 2011. If a teen can step up and call you all out on the
pointless bickering and division, there’s no reason you can’t simply agree
there’s a problem and peacefully work towards fixing it. Call me naive,
however I believe positive change can be made and the citizens of this
country can work together. In fact I’ve seen it already happen in times of
disaster! It’s sad that we need disasters for humanity to put it’s
differences aside and work together. Ironically, if we don’t learn to work
together, a disaster is coming…

statements about their difference on climate change was calmed down by a
