The son of Argentina’s new president proudly wore a rainbow flag to his father’s inauguration.
Estanislao Fernàndez, a 24-year-old popular drag queen in Argentina who is also known by the stage name Dyhzy, wore a rainbow flag as a folded pocket square to his dad’s inauguration on Tuesday.

Estanislao later unfurled the flag for his Instagram followers after some local outlets mistakenly reported the folded flag as a handkerchief.
“I’d like to clarify that the famous handkerchief that I had… it wasn’t a handkerchief, it was a flag, definitely a flag!” he said in a video posted to his Instagram Story.

President Alberto Fernàndez, a champion of LGBTQ rights, recently spoke about how “proud” he is of his son.
Fernàndez described him as “one of the most creative persons in my life” in the conversation with Radio Con Vos via Ushuaia Noticias.
“My son is a rights activist in that community. I would worry if my son was a criminal, but he is a great man,” he said. “In that world, which I don’t know much about, [he] seems to be respected and very recognized. I feel proud for my son.”
