Pissi Myles, a drag performer from Asbury Park, New Jersey, was spotted by several Capitol Hill reporters attending the first round of public hearings in the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry into President Trump.

In footage captured by CSPAN, Myles could be seen entering the Longworth House Office Building on Wednesday morning to attend the hearing.

“It’s a crazy day in Washington!” Myles told the publication. “I’m flipping my wig over the high-energy proceedings today.”

“Tensions are high, and the bar for who’s allowed in the Longworth House is very, very low,” she added.

The moment did not go unnoticed on social media.

Myles, who describes herself on her website as an award-winning performer regarded by critics as “one of the most talented queens in the North East,” was reportedly attending today’s hearing to cover it for the news app Happs.

She is reportedly expected to cover the event live on social media, according to her husband, David Ayllon.

Ayllon told NBC News that Myles was scouted for the job at his “Barracuda show on Sunday.”

“I do know they were looking for a comedian who could improv on the spot and deliver the news in a fun way,” he added.
