  1. In the states of CA, AZ, UT, CO, NM, AK, HI, WI, IL, IN, NY, VT, ME, MA, RI, CT, NJ, MD, VA, NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, and FL the father of the bride and the father of the groom can be BROTHERS.

The couple getting legally getting married can be first cousins.

  2. Get the facts before you speak. Gays are not looking to force churches to perform same sex marriages. As a black man, I can not belive that you call it a "bandwagon". Its about civil rights… how soon people forget… same on you.

  3. Newsflash: Many churches already perform marriages for gay people. Who made you the voice of God? I can read the Bible too. Thou shall not lie with man as with woman simply means pick one and stick with it. I'll read it how I like and you can read it how you like. But let's be clear, if you say your belief deserves legal recognition over mine, it is you who are oppressing me.

  4. First of all. I never said that Churches would be forced to do anything. I said MY objection would be to hold those ceremonies in churches, mosques, or synagogues where in the scriptures of those religions they condemn homosexuality.

Secondly, I resent the assertion that because I'm black that I should support homosexual marriage. And therein lies the issue. The ASSumption that blacks should as I said "get on the bandwagon"

  5. Newsflash: Those churches are operating in contradiction to the word of GOD when they perform those marriages. PERIOD. And your interpretation of that verse is laughable. As a matter of fact, I think that's the most original reading of that verse I've ever heard. So when the Bible says "Thou shalt not kill" does that mean, if your going to kill, just kill people that don't look like you??? How ridiculous is that?

  6. How else does a 'Christian' nation defend the invasion of Iraq? Plus, you don't get to decide for everyone, now do you. For some people, change is scary. You are one of those people.

  7. This isn't a Christian nation. It's a nation with a large Christian population, but it is NOT a Christian nation. Secondly I don't think that we should have ever gone to Iraq to begin with, but what that has to do with what we are talking about here is lost on me.

If you listen to the video, I stated that I'M INDIFFERENT to the homosexuals wanting to get married, I don't agree with those marriages being performed in houses of worship where the scriptures condemn homosexuality.

  8. Those who would berate Blacks because of their support of Prop 8, are being called bigots because of their vote. So obviously black folks are being asked to support it, or be labeled a bigot.

Secondly. when a similar proposal was on the ballot here in Michigan back in 04, I didn't vote on it at all because it had nothing to do with me.

I think a lot of you really do have selective hearing when it comes to this.

  9. According to the definition of the word bigot, those who voted for Prop 8 are bigoted. 'Bigoted' is another world for intolerant. That's what those who voted for Prop 8 are, intolerant, no matter what race they are. If they were tolerant, they would have voted no or not at all. Voting is an action. It is not done in a vacuum. It has real outcomes with real consequences for gay families. At best, you are indifferent. You put out the video so you want the debate while you claim indifference. Hmm.

  10. Some of these same people that you would label bigot, have homosexuals in their families that they love and care for, they just don't agree with what they do. Would a parent who doesn't like his or her child's career path also be a bigot??? How do you expect to go anywhere or win anybody to your line of thinking when you label those that don't agree with you?

  11. Secondly, the initial purpose of this video was not to debate, but to try to explain the attitudes of black folks the best I could to those that were upset about why black people supported prop 8. In doing so, some of the viewers here took it as an attack. Which they are fee to do so. But I won't sit by and let what I said be misrepresented or misconstrued because people choose to be selective in their hearing.

  12. @Gayheros One could argue that anyone who thinks it's OK to penetrate another man in his fecal orifice isn't quite right in the brain also. But that would be just as disrespectful to you as it would be disrespectful to trample over someones religious beliefs. And it doesn't endear anyone to your plight.

  13. @Gayheros I'm going to say to you, as I've said to the MANY who have come before you. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU DO. JUST DON'T DO IT IN A CHURCH. That is all. Thank you.

  14. I believe that homosexuals should be treated no different as any other human being.
As for being able to detect a person's color. I run an on-line business. I talk to customers when they have questions. I've had one customer ask me if I was Russian. So neither my customers or vendors know what my race is.
Also there are interracial children out there that you would be hard pressed to tell what race they were, but they would be considered black because of the race of one parent.

  15. STV writes, "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU DO. JUST DON'T DO IT IN A CHURCH."

Yep, that's exactly what white folks said when the "deviant" idea of blacks marrying other blacks was suggested. Colored people weren't considered fully human, let alone Christian. Or when the "abomination" of interracial marriage was proposed, similar comments were made. When the "unGodly" idea of forcing black students into white schools was on the table, the rhetoric changed to, "Don't do it in our schools!"

    Bigotry=evil

  16. The civil rights movement was about granting the same rights endowed by our creator and protected under the bill off rights ( the first 10 amendments ). It was not about giving anyone special rights on account of race and today on the account of sexual orientation. The argument parallel to interracial marriage is a bad argument.1) Race is something your born into and not choose. 2) Homosexuality is a choice and not something you can be born into by natural selection and evolution.

  17. One has to keep in mind that interracial marriage was first banned by the federal govt, not the church. Interracial marriage in this land goes as far back as the 1600 between John Rolfe and Powhatan (Pocahontas). The state should not get involved in marriage at all as it is a religious privilege and not a right in the first place by its origins. Its an issue that should be left to the church ONLY as it is where it rightfully belongs.

  18. My church supports gay marriage and has had offered ceremonies for same sex couples and won't charge to sign the marriage document. Not all churches old issue to gay marriage. But at least your honest. Which is cool.

  19. @cruptbside I swear some of you are in such a fucking rush to be offended that you don't listen for SHIT! I COULD GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU DO. The video was trying to explain to you simple asses the attitudes of those who DON'T WANT YOU TO GET MARRIED. Now get the fuck off my channel.

  20. I think you are a good dude and positive black person. Your flaw is being a christian. Not dissing christians(although i can) i'm saying is it makes you become a bigot and prejudice. Your mind tells you "i don't care if gays get married" but your christianity tells you gay is not right and they can't marry in a church and that's contradicting, biased, and hypocritical. Checkout my video from "Christian to Atheist"

  21. The scripture is an abomination. If you're going to preach you might as well read the rag you're preaching. Wake the fuck up and be a man.

  22. That is religious intolerance. Some churchs are ok with it, some are not. You are denying religions to decide for themselves. Don't tell church's what to do.

  23. Civil Rights are not being compared due to color of skin, but the basic rights of people to live in America with the freedoms to love whom they may, to have the religious freedoms as every believer as well as to not believe. So in those regards it is a civil rights issue and the people are oppressed by these rights being denied. As far as the bible that we declare as God's word it also enslaved black people and the fallacies are so many. Black people should support gay marriage because of choice

  24. —–You neglected to consider that a house of worship might want to conduct a gay marriage wedding. Don't you feel property rights are enough to protect those institutions?

  25. "Um I don't" Gays are comparing there movement to the civil rights era, and have never been denied to eating in a eating establishment, or denied voting rights, schooling, police protection and the list goes on and on. Show me a video on gays being denied this? Theres plenty of footage from the civil rights era. Majority of BLACKS don't support gay marriage a lifestyle where a vast majority only cares for hooking up not commitment and the evidence is there. Never will support it!!

  26. seriously???? you want to disrespect homosexuality by comparing it with stds? check your playbill brutha, blacks have a high rate of stds also. educate before you hate. look the statistics up. your comment is very offensive.

  27. black and gay civil rights comparisons- murdered-teased-bullied-threatened-refused service. discrimination by employment-discrimination by restaurants. i can go on, but this is a few. it is not a sin to be what GOD created you to be.

  28. yes, i have read the statistics and again i tell you theres a comparison and its hypocritical of you to show biast in such a blatant form. blacks dont have stds because of lack of education, that card doresnt work here my friend. its because as with many permiscuous people, stds happen. you gave 2 factual differences.here is the comparisons-murder-job discrimination-refused service-bullied-threatened-beaten,etc. this isnt a race or a competition. this is serious simularities and you know this.

  29. another thing, you are not gay and therefore have no rights to comment in the disrespect and uneducated remarks you have. i am gay and i know it is exactly what is meant by GOD as well as other forms of life here. heterosexuality isnt the only way here and to believe different is IGNORANCE IN THE GREATEST FORM and not of GODs will.

  30. When I say lack of education I don't mean school! Yes lack of education involving sex but music like hip hop which is telling not just blacks but all races that this is ok! What do you believe the civil rights era was about? To get minorities out of the realm of discrimination! It's still around today! Why do you believe it's wrong to be promiscuous? You even know that! Everything your saying was based on civil rights not because a man wants to lie with a man.

  31. First of all you replied to my comment I never sought you out! Ignorance is seeing the warnings and not heeding to them, thats truly one who understands God. No different that me not choosing to lie with my neighbors wife because of the consequences that follow. Gays have a long record of despair and the warnings are right before them, but they choose to be fooled by a doctor saying your born this way but his partner died of aids, it's a choice! What you being told is only backed by gays.

  32. That's why there's no substance, your right I'm not gay and never will be, but you know as a kid my friend told me I was gay (not that I had an attraction to men/boys) I sort of believed him even though I didn't know what gay meant plus I loved girls! All because my dad took off and failed to affirm me as a young man, and If' i would have been abused because of my non sexual attraction to older men (seeking a role model) then there's the birthing of homosexuality. Never ignorance just truth

  33. no substance where? you are not gay for a reason and if you were that is ok. we are all here the way we were meant to be. i am gay, never been molested. never was cohersed or pressured sexually in any way, yet through the abuse and fear tactics of ignorant people, i am who i am. no one can change that. know that we are all GODs children and there is no mistake when we know who, what, and why we are. through fear, uneducation, and ignorance, breeds nothing but evil.

  34. So you're saying God and sin can co-inside together? It's not one thing that stimulates homosexuality it's a host! Yeah we're all God's children and we're created in his image and likeness, not to indulge in our flesh but to serve one another. When you embrace Jesus he changes you if that weren't true then there would be no std's or depression, or consequences behind our choices. This world is trying to make God tolerant with sin and he won't be. Freedom from sin is found in Jesus Christ.

  35. i am saying GOD made all of us the way HE wanted us to be. you did not choose to be heterosexual and i did not choose to be gay. we are what we are for very specific reasons. loving the same sex is not a sin. this isnt that hard to figure out. there are no consequences for being in love. you look at homosexuality as just sex but its just like heterosexual relationships, there are good ones and bad ones. its character that decides this, not what you are naturally. jesus was a great MAN.

  36. I just discovered your channel through your "Im A Christian, Im Also A Freemason" video, and i have to say THANK YOU! Im not a Freemason, but i do belong to a fraternity that is being slandered on the internet much like how Masonry and Freemasonry is. Though my personal views are different than yours (me being a gay Thelemite) I am happy to see you illuminate others about your order. Keep up The Great Work. Teleia Agape to you.

  37. Yet another fool who only heard what they wanted to hear. I said, I could CARE LESS If you get married or not. My only objection would be to perform those marriages in houses of worship that condemn homosexuality. So thank you for putting words in my mouth with your over the top emotions.

  38. M Jackson took his blackness off and became white and Hinduism is the 3rd largest world religion  . Just 2 facts you got wrong , may be your whole lack of empathy for homosexual people could be wrong to ? Marriage is a civil right ,so same sex marriage is a civil rights issue yes only different from the black civil rights movement but still a civil rights movement .

  39. Black people got no business supporting homosexual marriage nor can blacks afford to practice that sexuality heresy.  The Supreme Court has trampled over voting rights leaving millions of black open to voter suppression.  The Supreme Court has recently struck down affirmative action making it nearly impossible for future blacks to be accepted into colleges and to find good employment.  Racism is still alive and kicking for black people remember Katrina, Trayvonn Martin, San Jose State, The dragging death of James Byrd, a Texas man, Stand Your Ground Laws" used to execute blacks(when black people use this law they are jailed) See the Marissa Alexander Case.  Meanwhile Michael Dunn, a white shoots a car of black teens for playing music he murders one & is sentenced to less time than is warranted for cold blooded murder.  Did I mention the cases of rampant police brutality where cops are shooting mothers and children in cold blood for traffic stops. Add to this the racism in healthcare, insurance and in the credit bureaus & lending industries and its still an ugly picture for most black people.  Extraordinarily high unemployment, rampant hostility & racial slurs and verbal racial attacks spewed forth on the internet.  I don't have room to mention it all.  Blacks don't have time for white homosexual males ravaging their community and sons.  Young black males are still being placed in adult jails.  This is still something leftover from Jim Crow.

  40. The issues you speak of are not confined to the US. Any inequality levelled at anyone for being the way they were born is the true 'abomination'.
I don't wish to take anything away from fixing racial inequality but that is not going to stop me addressing sexual inequality. The amazing thing about this world is that we have all these issues and yes we have people with extreme views, but we debate these issues and ever so gradually we make progress. The human race is pretty amazing in doing that, and yes mistakes happen and sometimes it goes off he rails and people get hurt, but as a collective we try to make things better.
As you an tell I'm very much for equality and so I would ask you to address your comments about abomination and read the full chapter of Leviticus to get your abominations in perspective.
We move forward best when we communicate so keep up your good work.
