Model Chrissy Teigen fired back at President Trump after he referred to her only as John Legend’s “filthy mouthed wife” in a tweet attacking the celebrity couple for not properly crediting him for passing criminal justice reform legislation.
The Twitter feud began when Trump, apparently venting about an MSNBC town hall on criminal justice reform that featured an appearance by the singer, tweeted that he and other Republicans should be getting more credit for signing the First Step Act into law.
“I SIGNED IT INTO LAW, no one else did, & Republicans deserve much credit. But now that it is passed, people that had virtually nothing to do with it are taking the praise,” the President tweeted late Sunday night.
Then Trump went after Legend and his wife Teigen.
“Guys like boring musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is – but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed,” the President wrote.
Legend responded by calling on first lady Melania Trump to “praise this man,” saying “he needs you.”
“Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody–ANYBODY–will praise you,” Legend tweeted.

Teigen, whom Trump referred to as Legend’s “filthy mouthed wife” without naming her, fired back at Trump by calling him “a pussy ass b*tch.”
“Tagged everyone but me,” she tweeted. “An honor, mister president.”

In a follow-up tweet, Teigen included the hashtag #PresidentPussyAssB*tch in an apparent attempt to make it trend on Twitter.

Both #filthymouthedwife and #TeamChrissy were trending on Twitter Monday morning as the feud between Trump and the couple went viral.
