  1. Hi Jay Roberts, I'm doing research and would love to find out if you have anything more like this. What's the best way to reach you? Thanks! Amy

  2. You people want equal rights under man's law, but that thing called " Marriage" is a Biblical concept based upon God's law. Do as you please, but, our culture is very confused about this topic…. Why can't you just call it a civil union, because God will never recognize your choice . Judgement day will show you that ! You will never teach my children that you are " normal" !

  3. Can someone explain to me in their best logical way why gay marriage shouldn't be allowed? No one to date has given a logical explanation. It's always been emotional, knee jerk responses.

  4. I just read somewhere that Rod and Bob split up after being married for 7 years. Bob married another guy Brian LeFurgey in Canada back in 2003. I'm not sure what Rod has been up to since then though!

  5. If you'll notice, the vast majority of the public opinion here was " they love each other, let them get married!" If you consider this show a microcosm of society, I believe that was the major opinion. It was the politicians who, desperately trying to sway votes, said it was evil. And kept it out of reach for so long. Under the guise of Christian morality, in order to make millions of dollars, politicians are the ones who this battle is truly with. Even today in 2019.

  6. Crazy looking back that it would take many years down the line for gay marriages to be legal, the mind set of people back than we’re crazy! Good for Donahue for having this topic before it’s time.

  7. I'm heterosexual male from one of the most homophobic countries in Europe today, yet when I was fucking 13yo (which was about the time this show was originally aired) I couldn't figure out what's wrong with two people getting married, regardless of their sexes.

  8. To all anti-gay males : gay men tend to be better educated, better looking, better dressed, more cultured and more wealthy (in short, many women say that all the good men are gay. So here is my question : DO YOU REALLY WANT THESE GAY PEOPLE TO BECOME STRAIGHT AND MAKE THE COMPETITION EVEN TOUGHER?

  9. His eplanation of his experience in DC applying for the marriage license – sounds like he was going for controversy by pushing the woman filling it out – scam artist like today's lot.

  10. I have no issue with gay marriage; I am for all people to have full civil rights BUT you can't force a country which has Christian roots (and where 78% have a religious faith; Christian or other) to accept a 2% minority's desires. You can fight discrimination on the basis for denial of civil libertines but you can't force the majority to change the view of marriage being hexterosexually based and demand that the law be changed. If, for the sake of argument, someone was a polygamist you would not expext them to try to convince the majority to change the law to accept polygamy.

  11. Personally, as a straight person, I fully support Marriage Equality for the LGBT community and I am among those who were glad that it finally got legalized a few years ago. In having seen this video of the "Donahue" show about same-sex marriage, I had learned an important lesson on the meaning of the issue with great understanding.

  12. the fact that this is centred around gay white males is not only disengaging but discredits the total argument

  13. Even after demanding Marriage which is a religious sacrament, they still say Christians are the most intolerant. Give me a break. Civil Unions were deemed equal to marriage. But as we know now. Gays seem to be the most intolerant of bullies. Still banging drums about being victims. I have gone deaf to them now. This self absorbed way of living centered on ME, isn't going to end well for society.

  14. Phil Donohue is or was a raging Catholic.
That shows what kind of intellect he has to believe that tripe. This is so far behind the times. Almost laughable.

  15. sorry but in 1991 people were talking about gay marriage. it wasn't a new concept despite the laws. Even in the 80's there was talk.

  16. Knowing how hateful and authoritarian they turned out I would take my vote back. Now they are teaching rimming, fisting, telling kids anal is healthy and showing that perverted pissing called golden showers in California for ages 13 and above by force without parental consent.

  17. Where I draw the line don’t compare my race to your sexuality! Please, don’t I hate that. I support your rights but stop comparing my race to sexuality. It’s two different things. My black skin can’t be hidden your sexuality can. Most of these people on here knew they were gays but kept it in the closet until they came out. My black skin was on me from the day I came out the womb. I can’t hide my race but you can hide your sexuality. I am glad that they have their rights. But, please stop comparing my race to this. It’s racially insensitive to me as a black person. Whites can easy throw that around when it’s convenient for them. It’s not right! Blacks gays are the most discriminated against in the gay community. I watched a white gay liberal say some very hateful things to a relative. It’s been proven that liberal white man are some of the most racist in the gay community. I didn’t say it look up the studies. So, until you clean that up stop using race for convenience.

  18. Just saw a little Oprah catch up about the lovely bodybuilder couple & they said after the Oprah interview (around this time) they had an absolutely awful time for about 5 years, which ended in their relationship ending, sad. These people started what people take for granted today (in many countries, not all), respect & love to them both xx.

  19. Hi. Ever since I was a kid I was I don’t care about if gay people wanted to get married or not I don’t see what the big deal Is.
I’m a libertarian. Times are changing. In Massachusetts can get married. There’s more things to worry about like the coronavirus.
