Trump Awkwardly Felt Up A Nationals Player From Behind Today And Twitter Is Distraught

President Donald Trump on hugged Washington Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki from behind during the newly minted World Series champ’s visit to White House on Monday.

“King of the world,” the Los Angeles Times tweeted about the awkward hug, a reference to Leonardo DiCaprio‘s famous pose with Kate Winslet in the 1997 film.

The embrace was prompted when Suzuki was invited to address the crowd.

As he approached the microphone, Suzuki donned a “Make America Great Again” hat, to Trump’s visible delight.

“I love him! Awww,” Trump said as he reached from behind Suzuki to embrace him across the chest before shaking his shoulders fondly.

“What a job he did. I didn’t know that was going to happen,” Trump said afterward, apparently referring to Suzuki’s MAGA hat choice.

Many on Twitter were quick to note the bizarre display of affection.

“‘President Donald Trump then reached around to feel Kurt Suzuki’s nipples.’ This would have seemed such an odd thing to write in 2010,” sportswriter Dan Szymborski tweeted.

“Donald Trump gropes breasts of Kurt Suzuki, demonstrating lack of sexism,” tweeted parody Twitter account DPRK News Service.
