China would overtake the United States as the global superpower and force every American to learn to speak Chinese if Joe Biden wins the election, President Trump bizarrely claimed on Tuesday.
“China will own the United States if this election is lost by Donald Trump,” Trump said during an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt.
“If I don’t win the election, China will own the United States,” Trump said.
“You’re going to have to learn to speak Chinese, you want to know the truth,” he added, referring to the official language of China, which is Mandarin.

Trump was asked about a recent intelligence report that concluded China would prefer that Biden win the November presidential election.
“They’ll own the United State if he wins, and with me, they were having the worst year in 67 years because I tariffed the hell out of them,” Trump said, taking credit for the damage to China’s economy caused by the coronavirus.
Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu blasted Trump’s remarks, tweeting: “Dear Donald Trump: I speak Chinese. I also served on active duty in the United States military—something you were too afraid to do—to defend your right to say stupid shit.”

Many were quick to point out that Trump’s own granddaughters were taught to speak Mandarin.

Others noted that Mandarin is currently taught in colleges all over the country:
They already are learning Mandarin in colleges all over the country. God help us.
