  1. I’m not gay or bi, but i have HUGE respect for those who are. Society has
tried for years to point out those who are gay, make everyone see them like
a fucking animal supposed to be in a cage, and finally they’re fighting
back. I’m young, and maybe i’ll turn gay, who knows, but i really love
Ellen Page, she’s a huge role model, for those who are hetero, bi or
homosexual. Well at least she’s my role model, and i’m so glad she had this
speech. I really hope this generation will stop turning against each other,
and start loving them selves. I have to work on that to, believing in who i
am, and who others are. This speech inspired me, to be honest.

  2. IDK, maybe I’m wrong,, but I believe being gay means you have serious
mental illness .. unless your body has both woman and man parts..
still you have the right to be what ever you want if you don’t harm other
    people ..

  3. I’m so proud of Ellen because
    1. By doing this she’s giving courage to others
    and
    2. I know it takes guts to come out to one person let alone a whole crowd,
and on top of this she’s an actress. People are watching.
    I’m so proud, Ellen.
As a bisexual I know how hard it is to literally tell someone this.
To all of those people saying she “looks like a lesbian”. Oh, please. Do
you know what a fem lesbian is? People’s outer shell does not determine
what is on the inside. A woman does not have to be masculine in any way
shape or form to have feelings for another woman. A man does not have to be
feminine and flamboyant to have feelings for another man.
So please, leave your ignorance at the door. Accept and love. That’s all we
    need.

  4. nooooooooooooooooooooooo dam i had a 1% chance to get with her,,,,,,,,i
still love you ellennnnnnnnnnnnnnn…… ellennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn T.T

  5. pretty obvious from 1 watch of hard candy that we had a full blown dyke on
    our hands.

thanks for coming out, now everyone around you who is actually aware won’t
have to dance around the elephant in the room.

  6. If being gay is wrong, god wouldn’t even made gay ppl, no one has the right
to judge ppl just because they r not what we call the stereotype girl or
    boy… That’s just ridiculous…

  7. Why is everyone making a big deal about her coming out?
Gay people aren’t special…they just have a more different, unique way of
loving. But they aren’t made of some special type of skin. God gave her the
    same skin he gave me.
She shouldn’t have to “come out”. I hate that term. “Coming out.” If
straight people don’t have to announce their sexuality, neither should gay
    people.
She is a normal human being, with a different way of loving. Her way of
    loving.
She should just love as she does, and not be afraid of it.
She, and everyone in the LGBT community, has as much right to love as I do.
As a Christian, I know that according to the Bible, being gay is wrong.
But…the Bible has been written over and over so many times and has so
many different versions. Here’s how I see it…If God truly hated Gay
    people, he wouldn’t make them.
So, in my opinion, it’s not wrong to love who you love, because as humans
we all have a sexual and intimate desire. Some people just express their
sexual drive in a different way. We shouldn’t be afraid of loving who we
    love.
I’m sorry if this comment made no sense, I just needed to rant :/ No h8 pls.
(Before you jump down my throat, which I know some people will anyways, I
    am for Gay Rights.)

  8. omg she’s my role model and now it’s even better XD (i’m gay as well)

  9. WTF man u think its ok to say your gay just like that?…. you think its
good to be gay? you think god will just do nothing about that? all i can
say is go pray and start being ashamed of your self for saying that and
trying to encourage other fools who think it ok to be gay i am realy
desapointed on how world has become

  10. IT WAS FUNNY WHEN THE CROWD STARTED CLAPPING AND CHEERING WHEN SHE SAID
THAT SHE WAS GAY. THEY SHOULD HAVE SAID AWWWW… BECAUSE THAT’S LIKE
CLAPPING AND CHEERING WHEN SOMEONE SAYS THEY’RE A CANCER PATIENT. THINK
ABOUT IT’S A PROBLEM. YOU DON’T NEED NATURE TO REMIND YOU.

  11. Her speech was so emotional that it made me cry. Such a brave young woman!

  12. I understand that her “coming out” in this way is meant to
be inspirational, but wouldn’t it be more inspirational to just be a
lesbian and it not be anyone else’s business.
It’s like they (gay celebs) are working against the interest of the people
that they are “inspiring” when they come out. They should be showing (IMO)
that being gay isn’t something that needs to be hidden in the first place,
which would mean just being gay and moving on with your life like everyone
else does, both straight and gay. I guess that’s just the way I see it.

  13. I respect her that she is gay no where in the bible said that being gay is
    a sin*

  14. Ellen page has gave me so much inpiration and courage from this speech. I
cant thank her enough for helping me understand myself . Thankyou ellen
page i love you and i always will <3

  15. she is a sweet heart! I support LOVE, do not care at all if between
    man/woman, man/man, woman/woman. LOVE IS LOVE!

  16. A speech I think that will change and save lives, I’m sure, through its
    impact and resonance.

  17. I love her so much, it’s not even funny. She’s my role model. She’s so
    perfect, and she’s so inspiring.

  18. I guess that means it’s no longer possible for this to work between ellen
    and me =(

joking aside, i’m happy for her. one day, this type of thing won’t be news.
that will be a good day

  19. The end of this evil system is coming to an end world over. It is against
its basic principles, and the ONE who made it is against it. I only say to
this world: look up and see WHO is now against you.

  20. Ellen is a great talent. There is no excuse for bullying anyone,For any
    reason.!,We love you Babe Ruthless.!

  21. While I am not a fan of bullies or discrimination (against anything or
anyone) I dont get why it concerns me what a woman or a man likes to do in
their homes. Why do they think I want to hear if they like the other sex –
or are gay? It doesnt change the fact they are humans and as such have
rights (duh) for anything every other woman or man on this world. “Coming
out” is a new term for attention whoring and nothing more. Can someone be
an activist for human rights and still be “straight”? Of course. Are there
gays who are not very nice people? Yes, there are. So please do not make
the mistake and try to say that Gay = Good People because thats just not
true. Its not the sexual preferences which make you a good person. Your
    actions do.

  22. I HAVE A CHANCE WITH HER! YAY hah just kidding:D i’m suuuuuuper proud of
    you dude 🙂

  23. Finally another celebrity from Canada who isnt causing trouble 🙂 Ellen
Page aint no Justin Bieber thats for sure :)~

  24. It reminds me of a song: I don’t care, I love it. I’ve always admired her,
and nothing’s changed. “I don’t care if you’re black, white, straight,
bisexual, gay, lesbian, short, tall, fat, skinny, rich or poor. If you’re
nice to me, I’ll be nice to you. Simple as that”. That speech was amazing,
    by the way.

  25. OMG, I cried while listening to Ellen’s speech. I feel guilty because I
used to hate gay or bi or transgender people. They were weird. But now,
Ellen’s words changemy attitude towards them. As a human being, I swear
I’ll stop hating people. In my world from now on, there are only the words
    of love, sympathy and happiness.
